stone that is predominantly found in Mahoba region. 2. The Artisans from Mahoba are known worldwide for their unique artworks of unmatched specimens of Gaura stone handicraft. 3. Gaura stone has a soft texture. It is cut into several pieces which are then used for making various craft items that are used for ornamental purpose 4. There are around 128 small units engage in Gaura stone craft. 5. The industry employs over 2200 artisans in the district.
