Greetings!

The office of the undersigned spearheads the provincial celebration of Araw ng Pagbasa this
coming November 27, 2018 from 10:00AM to 12:00NN at SM Megacenter, Cabanatuan City,
Nueva Ecija. The said celebration is pursuant to Republic Act No. 10556 entitled, “An Act
Declaring Every 27th Day of November as, “Araw ng Pagbasa”, a Regular Working Holiday” and
Department of Education Memorandum 145, s. 2012.

The aim of the activity is to promote reading as a mechanism of improving our education system
in the Philippines by encouraging students young and old to read and explore new learning
opportunities, which can eventually help them in the future to achieve their goals in life.

This activity is in consonance with our strong education agenda and advocacy,
Programa ng Pagbasa which seeks to uplift the quality of education in our province through a
province-wide book and learning materials donation and library building initiative.

In this light, we would like to invite the District Supervisors assigned in Cabanatuan City,
through your office this coming November 13, Tuesday for a breakfast meeting (details will be
communicated soon) to discuss the specifics of the aforementioned activity.

We are looking forward to your usual support and cooperation with regard to this invitation. May
we also ask for the names and contact information of the said education supervisors for
coordination purposes.
