The candidates can take assessments either through Laptop / Desktop / Mobile
devices (Mobile complaint). Active Internet connection is required for IBAs.
This document explains the process of creating and conducting an IBA and
generating the related Post Assessment reports on the PAPER TM appliance.
IBA Configuration
A. Pre IBA Configuration Preparation
a. Create Question Paper in TCS iON CAE (Content Authoring
Engine)
Please refer to the following SOP Documents:
1. PAPER75_Question Creation and Review Help Manual (ver 2.0)
2. PAPER75_Question Paper Management in CAE (ver 2.0)
b. Create EForm
EForms are created and used for uploading candidate data.
The candidate data viz., Name, Roll No, Applicant Password and Subject details are
uploaded in database through EForms.
Please refer to the following SOP Document to create EForms.

Step 2:
Click on SIGN IN as shown in the screen shot below
Step3:
Enter the login credentials, provided by the TCS iON Project Manager:
Step 4:
Enter dual authentication credentials.
Step 5:
On expiry, click on Change Password and change the old password and create a
new password.
Step 6:
Click on “W” icon at the bottom left of the page.
Assessment Management
Step 1:
Click on Assessment Management application.
Step 2:
Click on Online Assessment tab.
Step 3:
Click on Create.
Step 4:
Click on Online Assessment
Fill the first five tabs with all the mandatory parameters.

Step 5:
Enter details in the relevant fields for each of these tabs and click Save & Continue.
Step 6:
Click on Create
Step7:
Check for message confirming Assessment successfully created.
Step 8:
Click on “View Assessment” to check details entered under each of the tabs.
Assessment details with all parameters that were filled while capturing details during
IBA creation e.g. Result Publish Date, Chosen Language, Result Publish Criteria will be
displayed.
Step 9:
Check tab “Question Details” for questions added to Assessment.
Step 10:
Check Instruction Details for System, Custom and Disclaimer instructions configured
Step 11:
Check Uploaded Image details for details on Logo / Banner used
Step 12:
Check Assessment Configuration details for all the configuration parameters filled.

# Configuration parameter Explanation
Basic Details
1 *Assessment Name Enter the name of the Assessment.
2 *Max No. of Attempts Number of attempts for exam. Max attempt per candidate per login is 99
*Use Assessment forever Start Date of the Exam: 26t h June 2019 9.00AM
End Date of the Exam: 26th June 2019 6:00PM
3 Question Paper duration is 60 mins for theory
Practical duration 45 mins
In case of Assessment Forever start and end date need not be entered
*Question Selection If the QP is created using CAE select "Choose Question Paper" and if it is to be uploaded from frontend select

"Upload Question Paper"
5 *Subject Name of the Subject created through CAE.
6 *Choose QP/QPT Name of the QP/QPT created through CAE.
*Extra Time Percentage
Recommended value falls between range 0-100 | Applicable for scribe aided candidates. If the candidate is

specially abled (handicapped) or unwell during the assessment, extra time can be given to that candidate.
8 *Attempt Cool-off period Time period between two consecutive attempts.(If the maximum attempts specified is more than "1".)
9 *Assessment Description Description of the assessment.(Maximum 500 characters)
10 *Choose Languages Select language in which you want to show the instructions and useful data.For example: English, Hindi
*Banner Configuration
Customers can brand the candidate console by adding their company logo and by adding the banner. The

size of logo and banner images are restricted to 80 KB and the supported formats are .jpg .jpeg and .png
*Useful Data
22 This can be configured as a text or by uploading a jpg/JPEG/pdf/mp3/mp4 file. The maximum file size in 10 MB.
