Hiring Manager
Robert F. Smith Internship Program
Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History
1400 Constitution Ave NW
Washington, DC 20560

De ar Hiring Manager :

I am writing this letter to say that my interest has been peaked about the internship that is being offered. If
accepted to the Robert F Smith Internship Program, I am wanting to obtain experience that can used in the future.
I heard about your position thanks to the University of Texas at El Paso job search page Jobmine. The internship
opportunity is of great interest to me since it will further my concentration of African American History plus the
skills of the Library, which are knowledge of the Dewey Decimal system to the next level.

One of the skills that is required for this job is be an undergraduate student that has at least completed one year
of study. I fit into the qualification because I am currently a senior of the University of Texas at El Paso.
Another one that is offered is knowledge of African American study and I have experience in study due to the
classes that I have taken that discuss the subject in depth. In one of my history classes, I wrote an intensive paper
on Harriet Tubman and the impact of her life. The last qualification that I fall under that is library experience and
that is because I volunteered in my local high school library during my senior year of high school ang got
knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System.

I would greatly appreciate an opportunity to have an interview at the earliest time possible. If there are any
questions, please feel free to contact me at my email metrinidad@miners.utep.edu or call me at (915)777-7884.

Sincerely,

Mic hael E Trini da d Jr
