#COVID-19: Delta State to Impound Cars Disobeying

President Buhari’s Inter-State Movement Restriction
On Saturday, May 9th, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa
stated that all unauthorised vehicles entering the
state in violation of inter-state movement ordered
by President Muhammadu Buhari to stem the
spread of #COVID19 around the country will be
impounded.
Governor Okowa disclosed this while speaking to
newsmen shortly after monitoring situations at
Niger Bridge boundary between Delta and
Anambra and at Alifikede, the boundary
community between Delta and Edo on the Benin-
Asaba highway.
“Inter-state movement of goods and services has
been restricted to agricultural products and
essential goods. The reason behind this
lockdown is to limit the number of persons
moving across states in order to reduce the
spread of the #COVID19,” Governor Okowa said.
