Okowa Nominates 7 New Commissioners

On Tuesday, 9th July, the Delta State Governor,
Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has nominated seven
people as commissioners into the State Executive
Council.

The nominees are:

1. Hon. Fidelis Tilije;


2. Engr Lawrence Ejiofor;

3. Chief Barry Pere Gbe;

4. Hon. Julius Egbedi;

5. Mr Churchill Amagada;

6. Mr Arthur Akpowowo; and

7. Rt. Hon. Martins Okonta.

The nominees were scheduled for screening on

Thursday 11th July, 2019 by the State House of
Assembly.

Okowa Announces Education
Endowment Fund

Osinbajo Commissions Key Okowa
Administration Projects
On Friday, 12th July, the Delta
State Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi
Okowa, joined Vice-President,
Prof. Yemi Osinbajo for the
commissioning of Phase I and II of
the Okerenkoko Township Roads
in Warri South LGA of Delta State.
The Vice-President also
commissioned the 650 affordable
housing units at Issele-Azagba in
Aniocha North LGA and the
Obotobo I/ Obotobo II/Sokebolu/
Yokri Roads in Ogulagha, Buruta
LGA — both constructed by
Governor Okowa’s administration.
Speaking at the commissioning of the roads in
Ogulagha, the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha
Kingdom, HRH, Joseph Timiyan I, described
Governor Okowa as being ‘God-sent’ due to his
administration’s commitment to ensuring the
development of neglected parts of the state.
“The Ogulagha Kingdom has several onshore
and offshore oil and gas wells producing over
150, 000 barrels of crude oil per day. In spite of
our great contributions to the economy, we
have never enjoyed the presence of both the
federal and state governments until 2015 when
the current God-sent Governor, Senator Dr.
Ifeanyi Okowa came to our rescue,” HRH
Joseph Timiyan I said.
