TARGET MARKET OF PAMPERS:

A target market is who a company has decided to aim its marketing resources at. Essentially the target
market would be who the company wants to buy the product its selling.

It is when a business concentrates their marketing campaign on one or two of the desired segments of
the market customers, after breaking down the market into different segments. As for a business like
pampers breaks down the market into elderly, children and adults. Then choosing newly mothers in
adults to focus their campaign of promotions and advertising.

Pampers is an example for companies using this type of marketing as they target newly parents but
generalize at the same time, keeping the brand position strong in the market, and also makes high
profits.

The target market for baby diapers is expecting parents or current parents. On average they are in their
20s or 30s. Moms generally make most purchase decisions for their children.
