“HOW TO TEACH PHYSICS IN ENGLISH”
Assalamualaikum wr.wb

Good morning everybody, how are you today? My name is Mrs.Wita and I am your
new physic teacher in the school and I will teach you physics lesson until understand and I
hope you can accept me as your teacher. Before will begin the lesson lets pray to God and say
Basmallah. Oke now I will teach you about viscosity and I hope all of you are ready for our
topic to day and before that, who is absent today? Nobody ?Oke, lets begin our lesson now.

What is viscosity ???

Viscosity is a way of expressing the resistance of a stream applied to a liquid. Most

of the viscometer is used to measure the speed of a liquid flowing through a glass pipe (glass
capillary). Another definition of viscosity is a measure that expresses the viscosity of a liquid
or fluid. Viscosity is the nature of a liquid that is closely related to the obstacle in order to
flow. The viscosity of the liquid will cause friction between parts or layers of liquid that
move with other objects. Barriers or friction that occurs is the result of cohesion forces in the
liquid

Viscosity can also be measured by measuring the rate of liquid through a cylindrical
tube. The value of viscosity can also determine the speed at which liquid flows.

In liquid, viscosity can be produced by cohesion forces between liquid molecules.

Whereas in gases, the viscosity arises as a result of collisions between gas molecules. The
viscosity of the liquid can be determined quantitatively by a quantity called the coefficient of
viscosity.

The SI unit of the viscosity coefficient is (Ns / m2 / pascal second (Pa s). For the cgs
Unit (centimeter gram second) and for SI the coefficient of viscosity is dyn.s / cm2 = poise
(p). Viscosity can also be expressed in centipoise (cP) 1 cP = 1/1000 P.

Dynamic Viscosity (absolute / absolute)

Absolute viscosity (coefficient of absolute viscosity) is a measure of ineternal

resistance. Dynamic viscosity is the tangential force per unit area needed to move a
horizontal plane to another plane, in velocity units, while maintaining the distance in a liquid.

Objects that move in viscous fluid will experience friction, the magnitude expressed by the
equation

F = nA (v / l)

The coefficient of fluid viscosity can be calculated by the equation

2 r2 g '
n= . ( ρ −ρ ¿
9 v
That’s all our lesson today. Any question? Please raise your hand if you don’t
understand. It not let’s time to our finish the lesson. We will be continue this chapter next
class.
