    SOLOMON ASANTE TO BE NAMED PHOENIX


    RISING CAPTAIN
    Scottsdale, AZ – Today Solomon Asante will be named team captain of the Phoenix Rising
    Football Club. He leads the team this season with 22 goals and 15 assists.

    “I’m extremely excited for this opportunity. Our team is so good and I can’t wait to take this
    team to the next level,” Asante said.

    Asante also leads the team this season in shots and chances created with 91 and 80,
    respectively. He has 34 career goals and 23 career assists.

    “There was no question who would be our next captain,” head coach Rick Schantz said. “He is
    our indisputable leader on and off the field.”

    The honor for Asante comes just two weeks after being named the USL Player of the Month for
    August.

    The Phoenix Rising’s next game will be Saturday, September 28 at 6:30 PM. They play New
    Mexico United in Albuquerque, NM. Fans can stream the game on The CW network.
