Proposal For Fondue
Proposal For Fondue
Problem: Keeping up with the current COVID-19 pandemic there is a need for in-home solutions
to enable people to stay together in a contactless way. In a regular household consuming meal has
frequent visits to dining area, living room or even the kitchen. Many of these trips are also just for
tasting freshly cooked meals or even for grabbing a glass of water.
Solution: A robot truck that delivers meals right at the comfort of your room.
Design
Prototype Plan
I plan to change to snap fit from screw driven design. This would be easy for the customer to
assemble. First, I plan to get my plastic body 3D printed through our college facilities when the
campus reopens. This means I would be able to utilize the 3D printing and machining tools. There
in the manufacturing cost only the labor cost would be there. I would then assemble the electronics
components along with the code and create the logic for the robot to move. The like and dislike
feedbacks would be manual and a pressed button would indicate the food quality to the chef.
However, the recorded feedback would be integrated into the electronics to play the sound when
pressed again by the chef to hear it out.
