Overview
o Manages the accounting with the company’s bank, help in both incoming and outgoing payment
transactions.
o Component of SAP FI module

o Payment can be made in 2 ways:
o Manual Payment
o Automatic Payment
House Bank
o House bank with which the company maintains a bank account. House bank represents a
branch of a bank
o House Banks are the banks for your clients
o One House bank can have multiple bank accounts assigned to it.
o House bank Identify the house bank country.
o House bank ID is a number decided by you
o Main Bank account is entered in the house bank master data.
Account ID – Represents bank account number (max 18 Char.) and mapped to a G/L account
Bank Key – Bank Master Data (for bank Name, address, branch, Swift Code etc.) is stored centrally in
SAP system.
A house bank has a unique bank key. Bank Keys differ by each country’s norm.
APP (Automatic Payment Run) Configuration
o Create House Bank (FI12)
This is where you set up SWIFT code: Society of Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications.
This is used to identify banks in international transactions and to be provided by the bank.
o Payment methods in country – specifies and list all the possible general payment method per country
Note: Document type and clearing document type should be identified.
o Payment methods per Company code – to make specifications for the payment type. It allows further control
how payment method works in the system. Supposed Japan is the country and I have multiple company
codes on that country, I can control the payment method allowed per company code in a specific country.
