Healthcare system in Mexico

I think that the healthcare system in Mexico isn´t bad or good. Because the idea of
the organization is excellent, but the people who are responsible for administering the
money and the work of the hospital workers is the worst part of this system, if the
healthcare managers made their work without the corruption, the people in Mexico would
be conforming with this service. On the other hand, we have to the people who use this
system, the people don´t value the opportunities that we have in the public healthcare
system.
In Mexico, it is enough that you study or you or another member of your family
work for you have the right to free medical attention and free medication. In USA if you
want to have this service you need to pay much money, but in Mexico the government give
you all the services free, as long you (or someone else of your family) work and pay taxes,
you make the corresponding paperwork in order to obtain this service for little money with
the "Seguro popular" or if you study, some schools give you access to healthcare system
free. One example for the last one is the BUAP if you study in the BUAP you have the right
to obtain free medical attention and medication in the IMSS.
Another advantage of the healthcare system in Mexico is that if you have some
special medical condition you are still entitled to receive this service, unlike to the USA
where found options for not give attention or medication expensive. Also, in Mexico, the
social security pays all your special medication, your medical consultations with the
specialist and all your special kinds of medical services for example surgeries, therapy, and
rehabilitation. For example, my sister is asthmatic and suffers from various allergies, when
she needs to go with the allergologist and receives specialist medication, my parents don´t
pay anything. Unlike to Spain where if you have a special medical condition you have the
right to receive medical free attention, but if you need a visit to a specialist and take special
medication you must pay in order to receive this.
In conclusion, the concept of the Mexican health care system is excellent but the
bad organization and the corruption in the system ruin it.
