Lost

Sitting and contemplating,

Why is your heart beating?
And what on Earth
Is your life’s meaning

You go round and round

Waiting for answers to abound
As to why sometimes life
Is such like a merry-go-round

Never-ending questions
Which may cause agitation
That could further lead
Into a full-blown state of confusion

Why must there be pain,

Before someone has to gain?
Why must one first suffer,
Before he becomes stronger?

Why do the ones we love.

Hurt us the most?
Aren’t we all,
A little bit lost?
Esperer

Do you wonder?
When you’re near surrender
What keeps you going
To do better

In times of despair,
When life seems unfair
There’s one little thing
That springs from within

“You can’t make it”

That’s what they say
But your resilient spirit
Says “nay”

There will be a way

Amidst all these dismay
Triumph will prevail over defeat
Keep going and don’t quit

You’re going to get though it

Things will be alright
No matter how hard life goes
Hope is there to shed light
La Gioconda

Such a mystery
You were painted by Da Vinci
Your timeless beauty
Baffles many

People stare in awe

And wonder,
“Where had gone your brow”?
Because they badly want to know

Some say you’re going to have a baby

That’s why you look so happy
The next question is,
Who is your baby’s daddy?

Extravagant and classy

Lonely and a little bit eerie
You’re on fine lady
Who exudes obscurity

Oh, Mona Lisa

Why must you be such an enigma?
Despite your cryptic aura
You’re one among great phenomena
Him

There was this boy

Who I once knew
Who brought color to my world
That was quite blue

Roses and bears,

Butterflies everywhere
Boy did he had me ensnared
Beyond compare

Warm embraces
Tender kisses
Loving eyes
And enchanting smiles

Thoughts of him
Filled my day and night
Morning walks and late night calls
Were all that signified

Then came tragedy

When he met her and left me
What was I supposed to do?
When he was all my heart knew
By The Lovely Bay

By the lovely bay,

On the summer of May
A boy and a girl
Would often meet and play
And once they got tired
Would afterwards lay

A year had passed,

By the lovely bay
The boy and the girl met once again
On the summer of May
“You’ve grown a little”
To each other they say

Two years have passed,

By the lovely bay
A man and a woman met
On the summer of May
“You’ve grown quite charming”
This, to each other, they didn’t say
“How have you been?”
Asked her to him
“Quite fine, actually”
Said he, enchanted by her beauty
Followed by silence
That was quite uncanny

Three years have passed,

By the lovely bay
The man and woman met again
Their hidden feeling have been set
“This my love, you won’t regret” he said
And once again, he left

So there she waited,

By the lovely bay
It is now again, the summer of May
A pretty girl and a little boy walked towards her
Followed by their happy father
Who promised her forever
