The teaching of Araling Panlipunan is planned to followthe spiral progression approach

in a way that the teacher will introduced the basic principles in the first grade and are
rediscovered in succeeding grades in more complex forms. With this approach,
concepts are introduced at an early age and retaught in succeeding years in an
increasing sophisticated fashion. For example, In Grade 1, they will introduced the topic
about " Ako, ang Aking Pamilya at Paaralan, means tjeirselves being in a family, being
studemt at school and being a people in a community. The teacher will discussed the
responsibilities and roles. In Grade 2, " Ang Aking Komunidad, Ngayon at Noon", the
teacher will discussed the changes faced their community from the past to future, and
also the tradition, culture and geography of their place. In Grade 3, " Ang mga
Lalawigan sa Aking Rehiyon", the teacher will discussed the provinces in their region
related to the cultural, political, societal, and economical state in a complex discussion
to he able for them to understand the insights of the provinces in the region.
