PRESSURE VESSEL

Pressure tank with replaceable membrane for pressurized systems of

sanitary water equipped with a fixing bracket for the pump.

Designed to compensate the pressure increase due to the pump start and to
optimize the pump work.

They contain an easily replaceable EPDM membrane and they are

manufactured and approved according to PED 97/23/CE directive for
pressurized systems with sanitary water.

The main purpose of the pressure tank is to give water at a predefined

pressure, regardless of boost pressure, in order to limit the pump insertions.
This is due to the pressurized air that is between the membrane and the
internal surface of the tank. When the pressure increases, the air cushion
compresses letting the water filling the tank. The water is kept inside the
water thank under pressure.

How to choose the pressure tank

The sizing of the tank can be calculated using the following formula:

 Where:

K=working coefficient of the pump (see table)

Amax=average flow (litres/minutes)

Pmax=maximum working pressure of the pump (BAR)

Pmin=minimum working pressure of the pump (BAR)

Pprec=pre-set pressure of the tank (BAR)

Warning!: always set the pre-set pressure of the tank 0,2BAR less that hte
pump start pressure
