Science subject. She is a kind and approachable Science teacher. Even though she

is not an English teacher Mrs. Diloy helped me for the English subject and section that I

supposed to teach. And I was able to teach the grade 9-Antipolo for 60 days and have no

classes every Monday. She gave me a lesson for the next day and it is about Romeo and

Juliet. I should provide a movie for the students to easily understand the story. For

Wednesday I need to execute the lesson based on what they’ve watch. Also, Ma’am gave

me a book that I will use for lesson and list of students for their output in the entire

quarter. Every Monday I have no classes in Grade 9.

On 12:30 I was able to observed her grade 7 Molave that my CT handled. Since

they are busy my CT gives me some ideas, tips and background about my handled

section. She discussed a lesson for that day. She even told that I must be a superior rather

than them. I should not show my weak spot on them not to abused me. It was an

exhausted day. And I was thinking what happen for the 60 days of teaching. A single is

just like one month.

I believed in expect the unexpected, I was not expecting that my weakness will

become part of my student teaching experience. As a teacher philosophy, saying “NO” is

not part of our job.

Day 2: 22 January 2019

It was a big adjustment for me as a student teacher because of 8 am classes every

day and went to school before 7 am. I need to wake up as early as 4:00 am to prepare

myself before I go to school. As usual, we met in front of Jollibee and this day I would

not deliver my lesson. There is a certain problem that came to me this morning but I

should not show it in my students. It is difficult to pretend that you are not affected in

your problem. But as a teacher I must handle my problems and would may not affect

your teaching.

When I arrived to school, we are able to sign in a log book as a proof that we

came to school early in the morning. Ms. Marita Diloy told me yesterday that I need to

provide a character list that will able to disseminate for my students; the Grade 9-

Antipolo. As for today, for the next lesson which is the story of “Romeo and Juliet”, I am

able to show them a movie that they will watch. Yesterday we borrowed their 7 am class

to Ms. Luisa just to finish the movie. Ms. Diloy decided to combined the section that

handled by Ms. Griar. It is about 9 in the morning and still the movie is not yet done and

it will be their break time. They wanted to take to go out, as Ms. Diloy permission she

decided to cut the movie and tomorrow will be the continuation. Since I did not know

who are my handle students and I am not familiar with them because I am not yet meet

them. So I would not allow them to go out until the classroom is in mess. I look at them

seriously, and ask them to arrange the chairs before they go out. When they already

arrange the chairs and clean up the mess I let them to took their break.

Ms. Arandia gave me one week to focus on my Grade-9 students, she said thet I

should prioritize my handled section and my specialization.

Day 3: 23 January 2019

I arrived at school at 6:46 am, I go to school with lack of sleep. This is my first

time to meet my students that is why I feel nervous. My heart beat fast, I think I am not

feeling well. I imagine on what may happen in my first formal class. I always remember

on what my college teacher experience while she is in practice teaching. She cried in

front of her students because of theire attitude. I am thinking that it can also happens to

me. My class was start at 8 am, since yesterday we did not finish watching the movie

“Romeo and Juliet” and there are still 45 minutes remaining to finish the movie. Every

class has only 1 hour and we only have 15 left and not enough for discussion. I am

disappointed at first, I prepared myself last night for my first lesson but it would not

happen. So I decided to use the remaining time to introduce myself on Grade 9 students. I

also mentioned my rules and regulation in my class. While they introduce themselves, I

am thinking if I can handle this kind of faces with different attitude and interest. In first

impression, I think that some boys makes me hard to close with. Before I dismiss my

class I gave them a copy of the list of characters in Romeo and Juliet and told them to

study it for tomorrow’s discussion.

Ms. Arandia told me that my handled students are not easy to be with. She said

that I should not be expecting too much from them. I should have a long patience every

day, my handle section is the worst among them all. While she gives me some advice it

seems that it a challenge for me and at the same time more interesting. Also, she said that

I need to use simple words and sentences to easily understand the lesson and as much as

possible, my examples should be related on the trending events to make the student pay

attention in every discussion. She reminds me that I should not be too friendly with my

students and shows my strong personality and authority in class to not abuse my some

students. She added, even I gave them a lot of reading materials they will not read it. I

need to ready myself for three months of teaching; I felt that it would not easy to

anticipate the Grade 9 students.

Day 4: 24 January 2019

For this morning I arrived at school at 6:36. This is it, it is my first day of my

proper lesson on Grade 9 Antipolo. Of course, feeling nervous would not avoided since it

is the first formal teaching experience. As what Ms. Arandia's advices yesterday, I was

not expecting to them to listen and participate in my class. When I entered the room, I

greet them and start the class with the prayer. I also ask them to pick some piece of paper

under their chairs. When I felt that they are lack of energy and sleepy I started with

motivation. I group my students into two, they will pick a word and they need to act it out

and the other group will be guessing what is about. I give them only 1 minute for that

game. And after that, I asked them if they are familiar with William Shakespeare and if

they have any idea about him. I also gave a short background about Romeo and Juliet.

Since they already watched the movie of Romeo and Juliet I expected that they all

understand the lesson. I started it with introducing the character in which they match the

character that is posted and guess who is being describes in each item. I was shocked

because they answer it correctly and participate in the activity. When I already discussed

the story of Romeo and Juliet, I called random students to answer my questions. Some of

students can’t answer because they are afraid of speaking English but at least they tried.

When it is already time I dismiss my class.

I went to Ms. Diloy to asked my next topic for tomorrow and she also gave me

her feedback about my first discussion. She told me that I should practicing my diction

and pronunciation as same as Mr. Feranil feedback on my exit demo teaching last

semester. She said that I should also always speak English since I am English teacher.

Everything was changed but it helps me to improve myself.

Day 5: 25 January 2019

This is my 5th day in student teaching experience. I survived my first week and

more weeks to experience. It seems that 1 week is like one month because of tiring days.

In past few days, I was prepared with my lesson but today I was afraid because I was not

ready for my lesson. Last night, I did not notice that I took a sleep because of tiredness.

My lesson plan is not yet finish and difficult for me to make a lesson plan since it has no

lesson proper, it is just a literary piece that I should execute. It is hard also to think

activities that related to the literary piece and can caught the attention of the students. I

did not expect that my CT and Ms. Diloy observes my class and I was totally not

prepared for today's lesson.

Students nowadays are not fan of reading and I am aware of that. As what I

expected, Grade 9 students did not cooperate with my discussion even though I discuss

the lesson couple of days. But I am here, no turning back. When I enter the classroom, I

am confident although I was not prepared for my lesson. I start the class with the prayer

and other preliminary activities before I proceed to the proper lesson. As I called their

names and recall on what they have learned or remember from the previous lesson, I was

shocked mostly in boys. They not afraid fo raise their hand and answer even they had

difficulties in speaking English. They are still tried although they are grammatically

incorrect. It makes me feel happy and unexpected because of the attitude that they had

shown. But in proper lesson, they would not answer my questions. I did not know if they

afraid to answer or they really did not know the answers. I continue my class, even

though my nervous are too obvious right away. But again, I did not finish my discussion

because there is an interruption. I am not happy and satisfy with my discussion. I felt I

am failure for this day, I was not happy with my performance.

I realized that I should always study my lessons every day and be prepared.

Failure is always part of our success, it serves as a lesson. Today, I am physically and

mentally drained.

Day 6: 26 January 2019

Today is Saturday, supposedly my free day to take a rest and refresh my mind for

the first week of being student teacher. My body want to give up and I want is to take a

rest in whole day but I cannot do it. We went to school for Saturday duty. I arrived at

school before 8 in the morning for the early registration for the incoming Grades 7

students. On the orientation in our first day, Mr. Fabregar advice us that we should follow

the instructions of the head teacher that may gave to us. As a student teacher, we must

follow the rules and regulations of the school that is why for one month we are required

to attend Saturday duty. We cannot do anything just to come on school every Saturday

and it can also help us to comply the 60-day teaching experience.

In the morning, there are only five students who are arrived and list their names

for registration. After that, they will come back on brigada for enrollement. It is not so

busy day, I used the free time to do my work and task for next week. I checked the

quizzes and activities of my students that they took for one week. And also, I advance my

lesson plan for incoming days to pass and check by Ms. Diloy. We allow to home at 2 in

the afternoon but I arrived in Magallanes at 5 in the afternoon. I only come home every

weekend to spent with my family.

When I am thinking about what may happen next week, I feel exhausted already.

Seeing my students who show their misbehaviour, I just want to lock myself on my room

and sleep. For me, I do not wanted to mad at them but they push me through.

Day 7: 28 January 2019

It is our 7th day in LNHS-Calumpang Annex. I have no class in English every

Monday and it was my first meeting with my Grade 7 Molave and I am little bit nervous.

They are too young too handle and take care of. I will mingle the 40 students with

different behaviour. Their age range into 11-14, an age in which priority is playing. As

always, I start the class with a prayer. At first, I introduce myself to them and the course

that I was taking since it is the first time I met them. I saw excitement in their faces as I

talked in front. I gave them a time to ask me some questions. But I avoided to answer

some personal informations. After that, I asked them to introduce themselves and their

expectations to me as their student teacher. They always keep saying that I am “mabait”

and they hope that they will learn more from me. I can see the innocence and happiness

in their faces. My heart burst with happiness and enjoyment. One of my student asked me

if I will teach someday. I stop and thinking because teaching is not my dream and

passion. “Do I really like teaching?” I asked myself. I just answered, “In God’s will and

perfect time.”

After we getting to know one another we start the lesson, Ms. Arandia gave them

an activity last meeting and today they will able to answer it. Some of them did not

understand the questions, so that I translate it in ‘tagalog’ for them to easily understand

and answer the activity. Since the class will start at 12:10, it is not enough to discuss their

activity. And by tomorrow we are going to continue it.

Since we are required to stay at school until 4 pm with the head teacher, I used the

time to study my lessons for tomorrow

Day 8: 29 January 2019

I learned a lot from my experience last Friday that is why I study my lesson

everyday before I go to school. One week pass but I only remember few of my students. I

was not good in remembering names. Since last time we got interrupted because of the

medical check-up of my students, theyare being excused by Ms. Diloy. As I expected

many of them are absent because of the cold weather that can caused sickness, even my

co-student teachers. I continue my lesson that was not finish last Fridat. I told them again

to ready the story or the summary of the story Romeo and Juliet, we tackled it for about

one week and did not yet finish because of some distractions.

Supposedly, this day we are going to move for the next lesson but we are still

continue Romeo and Juliet. My students did not understand the story eventhough we

already watched it, I also gave them a copy of the summary and list of the characters and

still not yet understand the story. I was disapppointed, I should be a facilitator this time

and it may not be spoon feeding that is why I got mad. I gave them a long time to read

and understand the story. I do my best but they did not appreciate it and took for granted.

Even the characters of the story, they are not familiar. I gave them a surprise short quiz

and as I expected no one get a perfect score. It was in favored for me but I translate the

story into tagalog just to easily understand with my students and we can move on for the

next lesson.

In my Grade 7-Molave I continue the lesson that Ms. Arandia discuss yesterday, I

translate it into tagalog while explaining. As Ms. Mhyls said, they have difficulties in

speaking and reading English

Day 9: 30 January 2019

Today, half of my class are absent because of the cold weather that cause illness. I

also not feeling well but I go to school early in the morning, we are moving for the next

lesson, another literary piece “While the Auto waits” by O. Henry. This story gave a

crucial lesson to everyone. In fact, as their assignment for today I told them to read the

story but I was not expecting to do it. I find a summary of the story online and sent it to

our group chat. And still, no one read it, so that I prepare a hard copy of the story and

calls some students to read it front of the class. I do it couple of time. But I do not lose

hope, after they read the summary I also tell them the story precisely until they

understand it. It was tired day because most of my grade 9 students has a difficulty in

speaking and understanding English. Since I took English as my specialization I

supposed to speaks in English because it is our medium of language. And also I discuss

the one-act play and its elements and I connect it to the literary piece that I had discuss.

Even though they are struggling in speaking English they tried their best to answer my

questions and participate in discussion and activities. While they making an activity I

guided them and translate the questions to easily understand and answer the questions

that was given to them.

However, in my Grade 7 students our lesson is about those metallic deposits that

located in the Philippines. For their activity, by the use of maps, they are going to trace

those metallic deposits, geological structure and places where it found.

Before, I am afraid of speaking English in front of the class. When I am having a

presentation I can’t help myself to speaks tagalog. I realized that there is always a room

for improvement, just believe to yourself and throw away your fears.

Day 10: 31 January 2019

Yesterday, Ms. Diloy told us that today she is the one who will discuss the next

lesson; the participle. I and Ms. Griar were going to observe her class this morning in

Grade 9 Antipolo. Ms. Diloy teaches for decades and she mastered the lessons in English.

She is fluent in speaking, I can see that she is very intelligent and good teacher. This is

the first time I saw Ms. Diloy in discussing a lesson since on the first week we may not

able to observe her class and we are directly start our teaching experience. While she

talks and discuss in front some of the students are keep on making some fun things. In my

high school days, we are all afraid to make a noise in our class because we are all scared

in our teachers and we highly respect them. Maybe they think it is an old beliefs but it

help to shape us to become a better person who we are today. But today, it change a lot,

the perspective to a teachers is very different

The way they acted on my class, they also do the same thing. They even thinking

that Ms. Diloy is a professional teacher. As Ms. discuss, some students keep on talking

with seatmates, create extreme noise, went everywhere and not listening. But one think I

notice, the boys who interrupt the class is also the one who are active and participate in

the activities. After discussion, Ms. Diloy give a short quiz regarding participle and most

of them get a high score.

I realized that everyone has a different interest but everyone wanted to learn

something. If I given a chance to back the old insight when they heard the word 'teacher' I

will help them to ascertain the true meaning of it.

Day 11: 01 February 2019

Karma is really bounce back. Before, in my second year college I am a kind of

student who go to school without reading for our next lesson because it was a literature

piece. It was too long and it was boring for me. And now my students do the same thing.

I told them many times to read the story “Driving Miss Daisy” for our next lesson and a

while ago when I ask them a question they cannot answer my questions and also even

they are not listening in the discussion. I really wanted to curse and cry in front of them

but I control myself instead I got mad because of their attitude. I don’t deserve to cry and

shows to them that I am weak because I tell myself that I won’t cry.

We start with the activity; they were able to figure out the words what is missing

in each item. I also asked them if they have a friend, what is their idea of friendship and

how they choose a friend. And I gave a quotation that they need to explain. “A friend in

need is a friend in deed” which is connected for our next lesson. One of student answer

me, “A friend is not the one who will be there for you in happy times but also in

hardship.” I realized that she is right, but for today it is difficult to recognize and find a

true one.

In the afternoon, I was attended for the discussion of Ms. Mhyls in Grade 7

Molave and after I will teach the grade 7 acacia. The lesson that I was tackled was

importance of metallic deposits and what is the relationship between metallic deposits

and volcanoes. And for the additional was the source of energy that supply in the

Philippines.

Day 12: 02 February 2019

This is the second Saturday duty. There are some incoming Grade 7 student with

the parents who arrive for the pre-enrollment. I brought my laptop to make a lesson plan

and check the papers of the student for one whole week. I also record their score on the

class record that was given to me by Ms. Diloy.

After I took my lunch and recorded the quizzes of my students, I make a lesson

plan for Monday and I pass it to my CT for checking.

Day 13: 04 February 2019

For this morning I do not have an English class, but I asked the Grade 9- Antipolo

to pass their project that was given last Friday. I decided to divide the class into 2 groups.

The first group will choose at least one important scene from the story and make as poster

a poster and the other group compose a song based on the theme; friendship by the story

“Driving Miss Daisy.” I gave them 2 days to finish their project and I remind it on them

but no one did their project. Again, I gave them a chance to finish and pass it today

before they go home. I know giving chances might lead to laziness but I would not let it

as a cause of their deficiency in my subject. Since I have a free time, I study my next

lesson tomorrow which is the active and passive voice.

In the afternoon, I teach the Grade 7 Molave and Acacia and were having an

activity. But before that, we have a short recap about our previous lesson which is the

metallic deposits and geological structures. And after that they will proceed for their

group members. They will choose between making a poem, role playing, news casting

that about the natural resource. What are the activities, effects and to conserve the natural

resources in our environment? They were given 10 minutes to prepare.

After the given time, they started to perform. All groups prepare their own props

that they get inside the classroom. While they are performing, Ms. Arandia also grade

their performance. Everyone participated in the activity and after that I asked them what

have they realized based on the short skit that they perform. I saw the interest of the

students when it comes to role play. K-12 helps to enhance the skill, knowledge and

talent of learner, which is a huge advantage for the students.

Day 14: 06 February 2019

I got confused when changing active into passive voice, so that my Ms. Diloy

gave me a copy that she used on the previous years that serves as a guide in my lesson.

She also gave me some advices and tips to easily understand on how to transform active

voices into passive. For the additional source I used internet and watched some tutorial

that deals when changing the passive to active and vice versa.

When I already understand it, I try it on my own to master. I make an instructional

materials and prepared a lot of examples for the discussion. When I arrived at school and

there is one hour left before I start my class, I study it again. I start the with the prayer to

be led one of my students. They can’t help it when they pray, some of the boys start at

laughing. I get mad, of course, I gave them some words before I start the lesson and listen

since the next lesson is not easy.

They are quiet and listen on the whole period, you will see the eagerness on their

faces to learn and understand the lesson. Slow learners will not avoid, but you will not

expect that those students who are sleeping in the class in the most active in the class. I

gave them some rules and examples to easily understand and follow correctly. I told them

that tomorrow I will give them a quiz based on how lesson and then live the class.

However, on my Grade 7 students we have a short recap and short discussion on

our lesson yesterday. I learned that here are lot of ways to learned in difficult times, just

believe in yourself and there are people who will help you when you. Hardship is the key.

Day 15: 07 February 2019

On this day we arrived at school at 6:36 am. I can’t deny to myself that I am still

affected with my personal problem but every day I always start my day with a wide

smile. Ms. Arandia and Ms. Aureah, notice that in past few days I am out of my mind and

stare. They asked me what is wrong and when I shared it on them ey gave me some

advices and keep on telling me that I can overcome those problem. It helps me to boost

my confidence and less my burden.

I work hard for my lesson today, while arriving in school I keep on reading my

lesson plan and other informations I got on internet. Since active and passive voice is

about grammar, I gave them lot of examples and tenses as a pattern when changing

passive into active voice. They are still confusing when they transforming so that I gave

them a lot of examples to make it clear and understandable. Later on, I get mad because

the boys at the back make an extreme that interrupt the classes.

Still, it is hard to control them in making a noise. Instead of listening they always

talk to their seatmates. Instead of nagging I just shut my mouth until they recognize that

they are the only one who creates a noise and they will automatically stop. I am a student

teacher who is being avoided by the students, they was thinking I can swallow them.

When I walk in corridor they would not look nor greet me. Am I looks like a tiger?

Day 16: 08 February 2019

In every discussion, before I introduce the next topic I make sure to recall the

previous lesson to test if they learn something. Yesterday, I was not able to gave a short

quiz since there is no time left. For today’s class I was observed by my cooperating

teacher; Ms. Arandia. I was ready and prepared for my discussion. The only thing she

noticed in my class is the time management. Even though I mastered the lesson, I should

also consider the time since it was one othe most important thing in teaching. I only have

one hour and I should consume it for one lesson. Of course, it is hard for me because I

wanted my all students understand the lesson. She also gave me some ideas and tips for

the minimal problem.

I had problem on my Science subject, even though I understand the lesson I am

struggling on how I explain and execute it to my students. Science is the subject I hate the

most since elementary. My cooperatinv teaching gave me a consideration and she is the

one who taught on Grade 7 Molave. While he is teaching and explaining I am at the back

of her class to take down some impostant information. When I really understand the

lesson, Ms. Arandia allows me to discuss it on the Grade 7 Acacia. I execute the lesson

very well. At some point, I am not an approachable person. I am afraid to ask an help for

my cooperating teacher because I know she is busy as a guidance councilor.

But then I realized that I should approach her when I do not understand a lesson.

She is the only persom who can help me. Ms. Arandia told me that she is open for any

help and also when it comes to Science.

Day 17: 11 February 2019

When I arrived at school, I went to canteen just to borrowed broom to clean the

office. It is my morning routine, I swept the tables and the floor before the teachers

arrives. When the teachers and students are already arrived, and since it was Monday in

the morning we will be having a flag ceremony. The school year will end together with

SSG officers. After the flag ceremony, the SSG vice president introduce the cancidates

for SSG 2019-2020 and give some platforms that they implement if when they won in the

election. As always, they wanted to serve in the school, help the students for

improvement, garbage management are some platforms that retain in my mind. When it

is about 7:20, the students go back to their rooms for the classes.

I have no class for Grade 9, I use my time to update my lesson plan for the

tomorrow's discussion. While in Grade 7 Molave and Acacia, I only gave them a short

quiz. As they answer the short quiz, I translate the questions and choices in tagalog for

the students who has difficulty in English.

As a student you will not only remain as a student. At the young age you can use

your power not to manipulate the other people but to help for the sake of others. I am just

a student teacher for only three months, I am not only aiming for good but the better that

can make improve the school. This year, the officers are too responsible and you will see

the hardship that they made for the school. We are still hoping that next school year, new

officers can do it more.

Day 18: 12 February 2019

I arrived in school at 6:45. I mastered my lesson for today and I was expected that

it will be interactive. It makes me feel excited because I know they will participate in our

lesson. As I notice, they arw more active when it comes to grammar than literary piece.

In my Grade 9-Antipolo I discuss the intonation, after I introduce, explain and give some

examples, they will also construct a sentences using the types of intonation. I let them

give their own example one by one. Even those students who fell asleep in my class, not

listening and usually make a noise, they will participate in the discussion. I felt that they

enjoy the lesson for today. At first, it is hard for them to speak English, that is why most

of the time they cannot help but to speak in tagalog. When it is already time, I gave them

a ten item homework.

I stayed at the office to check the activities of my students and also weng to my

co-student teachers to take my lunch with them. As for today, it is the continuation of the

lesson in Grade 7. It is about the effects of effects of abusing the environment. There are

3 videos that will shows the cause and effect of the different phenomena the happens it

our environment that. I got teary eyes, as you can see in the video there are huge

differences from the previous years. Destroying the mother nature and natural resources

that can help us in everyday life. I gave them an assignment, realization based on what

they had watch and it will be pass tomorrow.

After they watched the presentation, I call random students to ask a question and

before I leave the class I gave them a words and lesson to open their heart and mind on

what is happening in their surroundings.

Day 19: 13 February 2019

Last night, Ms. Arandia texted me and saying that she would not in school today.

And telling me to attend hers classes. Ms. Arandia has a 8 to 9 am class in Grade 8-Narra

and I also had. Ms. Andrea is the one who attend their class. For today's lesson in my

Grade-9 Antipolo, I was prepared, and for the first fime I took some effort for my

instructional materials. I integrate my lesson this day from our previous lesson and

everyone are active in discussion. For their activity, I divided the class into two and they

are free to choose their groupmates. While they making their activity, I walked by to see

if all the members are participate. And for tomorrow they will going to present it in front

of their class.

After my class in my Grade 9-Antipolo, I would not take my break instead I go

to for the next class of Ms. Arandia which is the Grade-8 Yakal. They are going to make

their project that was given to them last meeting. They brought their own materials for

the activity. It is my first time I handle this class. They asked me to introduce myself and

at first like the other student they afraid of me. They are all quite in my class and busy

doing their task.

At 10:30-11:30, since Ms. Aureah is also absent and her handled student teacher,

Ms. Jonna has a class in Grade 7. She asked me a favor to attend the TLE class of Grade

8-Yakal. She gave a piece of paper for the short quiz that serve as their output for today.

After I took my lunch, I have a class to Grade 7 Molave and Yakal up to 2:15, they only

have an ctivity regarding the green house effects that we discussed in our past lesson. I

was too tired this day because of the 5 classes that I attended.

Day 20: 14 February 2019

Today is heart’s day, I arrived at 6:45 in the morning. I attend my class by

discussing a new literary piece entitled “Raisin in the Sun”. I gave them an activities and

they active and cooperative that makes our class smooth.

Unfortunately, every year I did not recieve anything from other people when Valentines

Day came. They know that I am not a materialistic kind of person or even likes

chocolates . And since many of the students are annoyed and afraid of me I was not

expecting anything from them. It is justan ordinary day for me. But for the unexpected

moment, my students who always makes me mad gave me a flowers made of origami.

My student JP Abaño who is the most naughty in their class and become my enemy in the

past few days gave me a flower with a heart shape staff and letter. I felt touch with that

simple presence. The other Grade 7 students and other students who are not so close to

me gave me some chocolates and letters that makes me special. My heart burst with love.

Actually, simple greeting is enough, but showing their love for me made me feel loved. It

is one of the best day that I cannot forget and I will treasure in my teaching life. I

appreciated their efforts , even the letters with full of love. And I realized that Valentines

Day is not just for couples, it is also about loving and caring to other people and specially

loving your work which is teaching and loving my students.

In the afternoon, I had no class for my Grade 7 Acacia to celebrate the Valentine’s

Day. There are different booth that open for all students. Student teachers are also

belonged but we only took some pictures together with the teachers and students of

LNHS-Calumpang Annex.

Day 21: 15 February 2019

I went to school with my co-student teachers. As usual, I cleaned the office before

I go to in my class at 8 am. One of the teacher always keep telling me that when I’m gone

no one will going to sweep the floor and clean the office.For this day, I and Ms. Griar

move on for the next lesson; the Death of Salesman. Ms. Diloy tells us to provide a

movie that we will watch for the Grade 9 students. Yesterday, we borrowed their time for

7 am classes because the movie last up to 2 hours. We combined the two sections, I am

the one who guided the two section since Ms. Griar has a classes. This is not my first

time to handle his section, but I got struggling because of their attitude especially the

boys. They create an extreme noise and went go out without permission. I would not

allow my students to take a seat in chair but instead in floor to be fair with the other

section. They are not listening in instructions, they keep on sitting in chair ever they are

not allowed. After they have watched the movie, I gave both section a homework that

will pass on the next meeting.

Since today is Friday, classes is not so important. After I take my lunch and

cranked with some jokes with my co-student teachers I prepared myself to attend my

class. But Ms. Arandia told me that I have a class in Grade 7 instead they will transfer for

other room since the classroom of Grade 7 Molave will become an ICT room. The Grade

8 Yakal and Narra will share for one room. The Grade 7 will move in second floor. While

they cleaning their classroom, I helped the students to clean it very well.

Day 22: 18 February 2019

It is Monday morning; I came to school as early as 7 am. But we cannot sign on

the log book because the guard did not yet arrive. I and my co-atudent teachers stayed on

the office of Mr. Rodrin while waiting. It is about pass 7 am when Kuya Vhoy arrived.

Since, it is first day of the week there will be a flag ceremony and also announced

who are the new officers of Supreme Student Government. My student Frenalyn

Casimero announced as the new SSG president from year 2019-2020. She is the one who

promote the peaceful and cleanliness of the school. I am hoping that the platforms will

not serves as a word but instead an actions. And yet I am proud of her, I know and I

trusted that she will do her very best for the improvement of the school.

I have no class in my Grade 9 students and I have a lot of time to update my

lesson plan for the next lessons. I stayed in office with my co-student teachers. I was

blessed because I am here in Calumpang Annex with them. I cannot imagine that they

will part of my tdaching experience, they became my classmates when I was in second

year college but I cannot imagine they will be close to me like this. I encountered new

friends that I can share my problems and shows the real me without pretentions.

After lunch, I directly go to for my next class to guard them for doing their next

practical experiment in Science. I help the students for their experiment since they will

use candle.

Last week, Ms. Tanael told us that we will having a celebration for Valentines

Day. She told us to bring some sweet foods for the exchange gift. I recieved a two packs

of stick-o from Ms. Diloy.

Day 23: 19 February 2019

I always go to school wearing my earphone, I feels me good every time I heard a

music. I went to school with a big smiles in every students I passes by. Today, in my

discussion I make it simple, but interactive one because I want my students to become

more lovely and interested in our topic. When I enter my classes I let them clean the

classroom first before we start our formal lesson. Last Friday, I let the students watched

the movie of the story, Death of a Salesman and asked them to read at least the summary

of the story. As I expected, no one will do. On weekend, I also reminded the assignement

that I was given on them. Out of 37 students of Antipolo, only five of them passed their

assignment that I gave last meeting. And again and again, I gave them a chance to do it

and pass it before they went home.

In my Grade 7, we not yet finish the activity yesterday that is why we continue it

for today. They also answer the questions on the book and pass it.. There are five students

who does not do anything and help their group mates that is why I gave them special

assignment that they need to pass tomorrow. If they have no activity to pass, then they are

not allowing to attend my class.

I noticed that Grade 7 are more responsible that my Grade 9. Of course I would

not tell it to my Grade 9 student because it could not hurt their feelings and it may also

the reason of their laziness when I compare them on Grade 7. Actually, favoritism is

infavored for me. They are my students and I would not allow them to feel jealous

Day 24: 20 February 2019

In the morning, our lesson is easy; the modals. Before, I thought that this lesson

would makes them bore. I started my discussion with activity, they don't have any idea

that the activity that I was given is related for our next lesson. As I discuss the lesson, I

gave some examples and call them one by one to give at least one sentence with the use

of the given modal. They had fun, they always use the name of their classmate Gian

Romano as an example. Boys always raise their hand and wanted to give more examples.

When I realized that they already understand the lesson I gave them a five item quiz and

on my vacant hour I spent my time checking their activity that they answer a while ago.

Ms. Arandia is busy and she asked for helped to teach the Grade 7 Molave and

Acacia. The time consumed for those students for are not participating in the class.We

had fun for our lesson today and at the same time the students learn a lot. When you are

teaching it is not about on how you share your knowledge but also let the student enjoy

the discuss ion while learning. We did not even notice that we consume the time.

Since I am not busy for today I decided to make an instructional material that I

will use tomorrow for my first lesson proper. One of the rules that Ms. Tanael gave on us

is we should stay in school for 8 hours a day. I stay in the faculty room with my co-

student teacher until 4 pm.

Day 25: 21 February 2019

I am in a good mood when I arrived in school. The greetings of the students make

me smile every time. I swept the floor and tables of the office, so that when the teachers

they are nothing to worry about the dirt and mess tables. I prepared by lesson plan and

my instructional materials that I will use for my discussion. I was too excited because I

gave my time and effort for the visual aids that can caught their attentions. My lesson for

this day is elements of a play. I know that they are all familiar with this lesson since they

already encounter it on their previous years.

After the discussion, I group the class into two. They are free to choose on where

group they wanted to belong. The activity that I gave, they will plot the story of Death of

a Salesman and Romeo and Juliet with the help of element of a story. They shared their

knowledge and ideas just to finish the activity.

At 2:15, I used it to check the papers of my students and updating the lesson that

I will be teaching for another day. I am balancing my time doing some things, I am busy

but still I give my best to finish my task that my cooperating teacher asked me to do.

Day 26: 22 February 2019

Last week, my cooperating teacher told me that this week, the student teachers

will be observe by our head teacher; Ms. Tanael. Last week I was praying that the lesson

that I would be taught is a literary piece, since it was easy for me and also the students.

Friday is my schedule; my cooperating teacher and Ms. Tanael observed my class

in Grade-9 Antipolo. Before, I came to school I was nervous but I felt excitement. When

I arrived at school I am prepared and mastered my lesson. Of course, I followed my

lesson plan to easily execute to my students. When the class starts, I did not expect that

the instructional materials that I printed out is small which is the reason why the student

at the back did not read it clearly. While I am discussing and asked some questions, it

seems that student is afraid to make a noise, maybe they are afraid to Ms. Tanael. Mostly,

boys are the one who are active and participate in my discussion.

After class, I went to the office to get my result with my cooperating teacher. She

told me that I am very good when it comes in delivering the lesson. She showed that I am

prepared and ready with my discussion. Ms. Tanael and Ms. Arandia gave me some tips

and advices to improve my teaching skill. They said that make sure that my examples are

localize to caught the attention and can relate by my students. I can also use the names of

the students for some examples and for the instructional materials make it visible for the

students who sit at the back of the class. But when it comes for explaining, it was all good

and I was not speaking in tagalog which gives me a high point.

Day 27: 23 February 2019

This is our last day of Saturday duty; we prepared our table for the pre-

registration. Ms. Diloy told us that on the first week of March will be the examination

week of the students and supposedly we need to start preparing our TOS. I and Ms. Griar

both handle the Grade 9 students and their examination must be the same. Since we are

not busy today, I and Ms. Griar used the time to make a TOS and exam for the Grade 9

students. By the help of each other, before we go home we finish the TOS and after that I

started to check and record the quizzes and outputs of my students. After we took our

lunch, we arrive home early as 2 pm.

Day 28: 26 February 2019

For today’s morning, as my everyday routine I clean the office before I start my

task. Next week will be the examination week of the students so that I and Ms. Griar

should finish the Table of Specification and examination for them Grade 9 students. We

have a difficulty regarding on how to plot the item replacement. I asked a permission to

my Cooperating Teacher that I will not attend my class in Grade 7 because we need to

finish our exam before the day end. I am beyond blessed for giving me a cooperating

Teacher like Ms. Arandia.

Day 29: 27 February 2019

Another exhausted day for all of us. We are too busy for making questionaire for

the upcoming examination that were given to Grade 9 students. Last Saturday, we already

started the TOS and today. With the help of Ms. Griar we started to make a 60 item

questions, we aim to finish the 60 item questionaire to pass and check by Ms. Diloy.

While I am busy for making an examination for my Grade 9 students and there is no

lesson that will able to teach, I announced to them that on March will be having a

culminating in English. They are able to present a scenes taken from the story Romeo and

Juliet. I also assigned them their group member and supposedly memorize the dialogue

that was given to them. As they are planning for the play, I brought my laptop to start

again in making questionaire.

Day 30: 28 February 2019

I am excited to see my students today, I went to school earlier as 7 am. My

adviser, Mr. Fabregar went to school and tell to our head teacher that by next week will

be our final demonstration teaching.At the same time all cooperating teacher / critic

teacher is with us. They also revealed to us the date that we will be conducting our final

demo. Which is on March 06, 2019 I got shocked but also excited with little bit nervous.

But I knew through prayer and trust to Almighty God it will be accomplish and will

survive the final demonstration. My heart beat fast because we only have 6 days left for

preparation. I don’t still have a topic yet that I am going to use as my topic for my final

demo.

This is not so busy day, my lesson for my Grade 9 Antipolo is about direct and

indirect speech. Just like the active and passive voice I know that it took for week to

discuss this topic, because there are different rules that are needed to follow when

changing direct into indirect speech. It is not an easy lesson also when your students are

not participate in the discussion so that I provide many examples to easily cope up with

my students. By then again, not all students has a same capacity of understanding and

knowledge that is why I teach it multiple of times.

I only have 6 days to prepare my final demonstration, I also announced that by

next week I use them as my students for my final demo teaching. They was excited and

also nervous but they told me that they will do their best for that day. On this day, I

started to make a lesson plan. My CT did not allow me to attend my class in Grade 7 just

to finish my lesson plan for final demo.

Day 31: 01 March 2019

March came, there is no any classes with the students. March is for culminating

activities in different subjects. When I arrived at school, the school was prepared for the

culminating in MAPEH. The MAPEH officers and Mr. Rodrin came to school early at 6

am for the prepartion of culminating activity. After I clean the office, I went to my Grade

9 students to check if they are ready for their presentation. I also their costumes and

props. In the afternoon, the program started while I am working with my lesson plan, but

when my students present I went out to watch and took a video of their presentation.

When the other section perform their presentation I went back to office and work

with my detailed lesson plan for final demonstration because my first lesson plan was

rejected and I need to choose another topic from the previous lesson. Ms. Tanael and Ms.

Arandia suggested that I should choose the grammar insted of literary piece, it can makes

the student participate in the discussion and at the same time it looks like that you really

know the subject matter. Then I chose the Direct and Indirect, this is the lesson that I had

discuss when they observed my class. My goal for today is to finalize my lesson plan. My

Grade 9 students are busy for the upcoming culminating in MAPEH, so I gave them a

free time for practice. I am too busy today, I forgot to take my lunch.

Ms. Arandia tells me that when March came there are no much classes because of

the culminating activities. We talked about her random experience as a teacher for

decades. I mentioned her last time that I would not teach after graduation and I will try to

apply in Philippine Navy. She keep on telling me to give a try and take LET.

Day 32: 04 March 2019

For this day, before I go to school and I am thinking about my lesson plan. Lot of

things and ideas come to my mind. It makes me procrastinate because of my detailed

lesson plan. There are some things that I need to edit and revised. I am the only practice

teacher who are not yet finish in lesson plan and I only have 2 days before ny final

demonstration teaching. I am cramming to the point that I did not took my lunch just to

finalize it. Before the day end I should pass it to Ms. Diloy to be check and if there is

something to revise. I also asked help with my co-student teacher. I feel the stressed and

anytime I will cry because of the procratination.

Ms. Marita and Ms. Arandia gave me this day as my free time and not to attend

my class in Grade 9 and Grade 7 students to revise my lesson plan. At 2 in the afternoon I

went to Ms. Diloy to check my LP and we revise it until 4 pm. We went home at 4:30 and

when I arrived in house I am still working with my detailed lesson plan.

Day 33: 05 March 2019

This is the final demonstration teaching of the advisory of Ms. Crisostomo. They

went to the school as early as 6:20 and we arrived late. We are the one who helped and

accommodate to the panelist. I took some pictures of my co-student teacher who are in

their final demostration.

Ms. Arandia helped me in my instructional materials that I will use tomorrow for

my final demonstration. She printed out all the things that I need to use and I am the one

who paste to make it as tarpapel. Ms. Mylene tells me that I should be more energetic and

smile in front while I am teaching and when it comes to instructional materials I should

take away those things that is already discussed. In 11 am, I had a dry run in Grade-9

Apitong, to be honest I am prepared since only today I finalize my lesson plan. I cannot

even know the flow of my discussion, I was feeling exhausted and wasted. All I need is

to take a rest but Ms. Arandia and Ms. Diloy observed my dry run with Grade 9. As I

expected, the result is not too good because I lost my focus and I am yet ready. After that,

Ms. Arandia told me that I also have a dry run in Grade 10-Mahogany, a section that was

not close to me. It is the first time I attend their class. I only have 1 hour to prepare and

study my lesson plan before I went to Grade 10 and I did not even took my lunch. I was

expecting that they are not interested and listen to me same as the Grade 9 since they do

not know me at first. For the unexpected moment they are active and participate in

discussion. While I am teaching and ask a question or give some examples they are

raising hand to answer that is why I enjoyed the class to the point that I did not notice that

I am over time

Day 34: 06 March 2019

The day that I have waiting for. I wake up at 4 am to prepare myself and my

instructional materials that I will use later. I arrived at school at exact 6:44 followed by

my adviser and Sir Ivan. I don’t feel any pressure and nervous because I believe that it

will be the last thing that I need to finish at last for only an hour. My time for final demo

is 8 in the morning, Sir Erwin will the first one who observed by his CT, our head teacher

and our adviser.

When it is about 8 am, Sir Erwin did not yet finish but I wait for him with my

students; Grade 9-Antipolo. We took a pictures and tell them to behave. I did not expect

that my students who are always absent are now present and wear completed uniform.

My heart burst with happiness, I am confident that they will cooperate and participate this

time. When Sir Erwin are already done, now it’s my time. I prepared the room and the

instructional materials that I will use. And when it is all settled, the panelist came.

I start with prayer; the flow of the discussion is good with the help of my students

and my supportive and beloved cooperating teacher. I did not finish my lesson plan

because it is already time but my adviser tells me that is okay. We took a picture with my

cooperating teacher, adviser and students for the documentation.

As we talked in the office with the panelist they told me that I did the great job.

That before I start the lesson, I shows my authority in front of my students. I smile while

teaching and I have a lot of ideas in my mind. I am thankful that I made it with the help

of those people behind my back.

Day 35: 07 March 2019

As of today, we are not busy and Ms. Diloy give the time to practice and prepare

for the culminating in English. Since I already grouped the class, the leader of each group

distributed their characters and lines to their member. As they planning the play, I only

watched them and give some ideas and tips that they can apply in the presentation.

There are no classes because of the culminating. Students are busy for the practice

on the incoming culminating activities. All we need to do is to check and finish the

grades of the students to be pass in my Cooperating Teacher.

Day 36: 08 March 2019

I start my day with a smile in my face before I go to school. I felt excitement and

think that it was a perfect day for me after a long tiring days passed. From 8 PTs 2 of

them are absents. When I entered the gate of the school my students greet me good

morning with a smile on their faces. But suddenly, the unexpected happening came. Since

Ma’am Jonna is absent this day which is supposedly the master of ceremony for the Math

Camp, so that I am the one who replace her. It was my first time and I have no choice

because Ms. Luisa is the one who asked me a favor.

We are all busy preparing for the Night Camp with the teachers and students. For

the month of March, it is all for culminating activities in different subjects. My Grade 9

Antipolo are busy for the play in English. They used our time for practicing their lines

and props. However, in the afternoon I facilitate for the Grade 7 Acacia and Molave for

their dance practice for Culminating in Science. At 2:15 the students are dismissed and

let them go home to get some staff that they will use for the Math Camp.

At 4:00 pm, the students came and opening for the registration. At exact 5:00 pm,

the program starts with yours truly and Ms. Gener as the masters of ceremony. We felt

nervous because it was our first time. After we discussed the rules and flow of the

program. Since it is simultaneous at exact 8:00 we are done for tent, foods and math quiz.

We also having some activities, games, bonfire and pageant. I really had fun in Night

Camp and did not expecting that I will enjoy this experience since it was my first time.

Day 37:09 March 2019

Saturday, we woke up at 4 in the morning. I am still sleepy but yet I need to get

up and ready for breakfast and Zumba. We prepared the students for their breakfast with

their team. Before we go back for the activity, we make sure that whole campus is free

from trash. We unite

When it is about 8 in the morning the games are started. The procedure of the

Math trial was given to them. They need to answer the different obstacle and compete the

missing piece of the picture. We assist the students for the obstacle course. Lastly, the

winner of is the yellow team.

When it is about 10 in the morning, we packed up and prepare to go home to take

some rest.

Day 38: 11 March 2019

Today is Monday, expect the flag ceremony. But emergency happen Ms. Griar

attacked her asthma, that she can’t breathe. We are all panic, as a friend I help and guided

her in the clinic. I massage her foot and hand to make her feels good. I don’t have class in

English since it was Monday. I took care with my friend. All are busy for the preparation

for the culminating.

When Ms. Griar is okay, I let her to stay in clinic to take a rest. Ms. Arandia is

also busy for the upcoming culminating in Science. She is the one who makes the sash

that was given to the candidates that is why she asked me a favor to give an exam in

Grade 7 Molave and Acacia. As when they took the exam, I would not let them to copy

with their classmates, I am very strict when it comes to examination. Even though their

room is crowded because of the numerous students I kept my eyes in every student.

Day 39: 12 March 2019

My CT asked for help to check the examination that was taken yesterday by

Grade 8 Yakal and Narra and Grade 7 Molave and Acacia. Even there are lots of paper

that I need to check, we now used the zip grade that makes easier and less spend of time.

It scans the score of the students.

My schedule for today is to give an exam to students. Before when start the

examination, I told them to arrange the chairs. I gave them a seating plan to avoid

cheating. They need to finish the examination for an hour. There are some students who

still make a way to cheat and to copy with their classmates. I let two of them take an

exam outside the classroom because of extreme noise that interrupt their classmates.

For my Grade 7 students, we used their time to practice their interpretative dance

for the culminating in Science.

Day 40: 13 March 2019

After I cleaned the office, I went upstairs to check my students. They are busy in

designing their room for the culminating in AP. I let them used my time in English for

their preparation of course with the approval of Ms. Diloy. Supposedly, this day we use

our time for practice their play in English. I helped my students to prepared their

costumes and attire for their culminating in AP. Seeing my students wearing an attire that

they want to be in the future makes my heart happy and excited. I can’t wait to see all of

them successful in life.

Ms. Kaye let me watched the presentation of Grade 9 Antipolo. I am very proud

when they are performing. I took some of their pictures as a remembrance when I am not

along in practice teaching. In the afternoon the Grade 10 students who chose cookery

invite us to eat those foods that they prepared for their culminating in TLE.

Day 41: 14 March 2019

I arrived at school early in the morning. In the morning I gave an exam for Grade

9. We are not busy but yet we are going in school just to fulfill the 60 day internship but

we don’t do anything in school. The class was suspended on the afternoon, so that the

students went home early also for the preparation of their play tomorrow in English. My

students told me to go on the covered court and asked for the practice since they are not

allowed to stay in school. I asked a permission to Ms. Tanael if I am allowed to go there,

and she said yes. I call the tricycle driver and I went to Calumpang covered court to guide

and help my Grade 9 Antipolo for the last practice because tomorrow will be the

culminating in English. I went at 2 pm and wait for the others, when they arrived I told

them to start their practice but no one is listening instead they play volleyball and

basketball up to 4 pm. There is no time for practice so I decided to go home, I cried. I felt

that I am not effective teacher for them, I felt the guilt the disappointment by Ms. Diloy.

Day 42: 15 March 2019

Today is Friday and our culminating in English. As always we are still busy

because we helped the teachers for preparing in the program. As I go to school I am

thinking of my students, I am not expecting that they will perform later on because I

know that they don’t have enough time for practice. This day is also the second day of

examination, Ms. Arandia asked me a favor to give an exam for the Grade 7 Acacia and

Molave since she is too busy. Also, I am the one who gave an exam for the Grade 10

Kamagong handled by Ms. Gener, she was also too busy because preparation in

culminating. They are too noisy that is why I get mad on them.

Afternoon came, I am still mad at my Grade 9 Antipolo because of what happen

yesterday, but at the end of my mind I am praying for them. Even though they

disappointing me I care about their performance and grades. When my Grade 9 boys saw

me, they say that they will perform, I am so fluttered when I heard that. They brought

their own costume and memorize their lines.

The program started, I assigned as the scorer in the Grade 7 spelling bee and

Aienna, the representative from Grade 7 acacia won the first place. After that, I am also

one of the judge in declamation of selective Grade 7 students. They are all excellent in

delivering the speech but all of them forget the lines. The last activity is the Graduation

Speech from the selective students of Grade 10.

Day 43: 18 March 2019

Today is Morning, we only have 2 weeks to stay here in school and only one

week for the students. We are all busy in making costume that will be used by my Grade

9 representative. Students are also busy to comply their deficiencies and some of my

students pleased to sign their clearance. They don’t know that I am not unfair and not

considerate when it comes to completion. They are their role as a student to comply their

activities.

But at their teacher, I help them when they asking for help. Give what they need

for the other subjects just to finish and sign their clearance. They deserve to take a rest

and don’t mind anything on vacation. I pursue them to finish it as early as they can before

vacation came but they are not listening. They wanted to finish it on brigade.

Day 44: 19 March 2019

As of today is the culminating in Science. In the morning we are all busy for

preparing the costume and the representatives of my Grade 9 Antipolo. I helped Adriane

Rodis for his costumd that he use later and give some tips to Ericka Ligsa while she face

the audience. When it all settled, Mr. Rodrin asked me and Ms. Clarisse Gener to help his

students who will participate in the program. In morning, they are busy in practicing their

dance for the talent portion in the pageant. I and Ms. Gener helped Mikyla for her make-

up and costume while Mr. Erwin helped Andrei for his costume.

When it is about 11 in the afternoon, the program started as Ms. Tanael

announcement. The students went down in the ground to start the culminating. The

program started with the opening remarks of Ms. Arandia and Ms. Tanael. The first one

that the contestant showed is the costume made up of recyclable materials and after that

is the talent. At last, Ariella and Mark Joshua announced as Mr. and Ms. Kalikasan 2019.

Day 45: 20 March 2019

Today is the culminating in Filipino to be led by Ms. Kris. She calls me and ask

for help for the tarpapel that will be use in the program. After that, I help the officers for

the decoration of the place in which the program happens. And I also check my Grade 9

Antipolo for the play, if they really memorize their lines and for the costume that they

will use later.

Supposedly, Ms. Arandia will be the judge and the other choses teachers for the

play but since they are all busy because there are upcoming visitors. She decided to

replace me as a one of the judges in the program. Ms. Kris gave us the criterion on how

to grade the performance of the students together with Ms. Gener and Ms. Griar.

We start the program with the prayer. Out of 8 sections, seven of them present

their play. For the Grade 7 is the Ibong Adarna, I understand that they are new students.

All I can say is they need to improve their acting skill because it is a little bit boring. The

next will be the Grade 8 students, they performed the El Filibusterismo, they are not yet

ready and prepared because some of the actors read their lines in front of the audience.

For the Grade 9 students is the Florante at Laura, both sections are good in acting. And

lastly is the Grade 10 students who are excellent in performing. They provided a

background music, props and you can see that they are prepared. As a judge I gave them

a score that they deserve. We end the program at exact 2:15 in the afternoon. Ms. Kris

explained to me on how to get the best and supporting actor and actress.

Day 46: 21 March 2019

Yesterday, I am one of the judges in culminating in Filipino together withmyco-

student teachers; Ms. Griar and Ms. Gener. Since we no have no enough time to

announce the winners in the play we decided to tally the winner and outstanding actors

and actress on the play that they performed today. Ms. Kris told us that we should choose

winners in every section who performed. Actually, most of the students who deserves the

award are from Grade 10 students since they have a lot of experiences when it comes to

performance.

As a requirement to sign the clearance of Grade 9, few of the students recite and

bring back the books that they had use for entire school year. If they completely pass the

activities thatI gave to them, bring back the borrowed book and recite the mission and

vision of the school I will sign the clearance and they will go to Ms. Diloy to sign also.

Day 47: 25 March 2019

Today is Monday, we had a flag ceremony and announced the winners in the

culminating in Filipino. Today 4th quarter will be end. This is the last week of the class;

students are busy to complete their deficiencies in all subjects to sign their clearance. Ms.

Jenny Asas asked for help to check the grades of her Grade 8 students. As a K-12

students I thought that the students are competitive and grade conscious. But only few

students who get a grades 80 and above and most of them are line of seven. I was

expecting too much and I still lack of knowledge when it comes to the new curriculum

implemented. Many students are lazy to study, one of the students tells me that when he

attend his class he always took a sleep. I felt annoy, teachers doing their best to share

their knowldege and sometimes went to school lack of sleep just to study the lesson but

students did not appreciate the efforts that the teachers do. I talked to him and telling that

he should study next school year. I keep telling my students that I am open for help when

they have struggles in studying.

In the afternoon, I bond with my students and took some pictures. We also knew

who the students got the highest honor and the awardees for the recognition on

Wednesday. On my grade 9-Antipolo, there are only seven students who recieve for

conduct award. It is for the students who are excelling not in academic but in attitude that

they show inside the classroom.

Day 48: 26 March 2019

I am not busy today, I just help and encourage the students to complete their

activities for the clearance. I also helped Ms. Griar for the checking and reading the

grades of the Grade 9-Apitong. I am the one who read the grades whiles Ms. Griar is the

one who checked it based on the card and form 137.

I told to my students to pass all their deficiencies in my subject because I need to

pass it on Ms. Diloy to finalize their grades. The students would not listen and telling me

that they are

Day 49: 27 March 2019

We arrived at school early as 7 am, so as my morning routine I clean the office

before I start my task that I need to do that day. At 9 in the morning, Ms. Kris ask for our

help to teach the Grade 7 students to read an answer some stories that are given to them

to comply their deficiency.

In the afternoon, my two students start a fight. As one of their teacher I calmly

tried to stop the argument between the two. But one of the student answer me impolitely

that makes the other one annoys. He punches his classmate that cause a big trouble. I

really get mad to the point that I feel my blood goes up and I cannot stop to nag them.

When they separated they go to office to talk by guidance counselor.

Day 50: 28 March 2019

Yesterday, my cooperating teacher asked me a favor to help one of her student

from Grade 7 to write his name clearly. It seems that her student has a difficulty in

writing. His writing skill is inappropriate. After I let him to write the alphabetical letter, I

asked him to write his name and checked by Ms. Arandia. He was also given an

assignment that will be pass for the other day. I was hoping that he learned something

from me and he can apply it for the next school year. I went to my Grade 9-Antipolo just

to tell them, again, to memorize the mission, vision and gave them back the books that

they will borrowed and after that I will going to sign their clearance.

However, the Grade 10 started their practice for the moving up with supervision

of Mr. Erwin and Mr. Rodin. When I am not too busy, I bond with my students and other

students that I got close in the past few days. They keep telling me that they will miss me

and hoping that I will stay more longer in this school.

I am not only find a student but also a friendship that we shared for three months.

But the memories and experiences are still remaining no matter what even I can’t see

them for a long time.

Day 51: 29 March 2019

This is the last day of classes and the last day that I will see my Grade 9 Antipolo.

I can’t deny to myself that I will miss them. I miss the noise, disobey, and everything

about my students. And also those people who are part of my internship. It is easy to

getting attached to your students but it is difficult to leave.

I make this day memorable with them that I will treasure, I took some photos with

my students and other students as a remembrance. For the last time, we shared our

cracking jokes and telling me that they will miss me also. Some of the Grade 8 students

who are not my handle they told me that they will me miss me and they hope that I will

be their practice teacher. They think that I am strict teacher who are difficult to approach

that is why in the first place they are afraid of me. And they did not expect that I will be

close to them.

Also, Ms. Tanael clarifies the action research that we need to improve and make

sure to pass it as soon as possible. I don’t say goodbye for my students but a sweetest see

you again. I believed it is not the last time that I will see them. And I will be their

proudest practice teacher in English and I am hoping that you will all successful in the

future. I always telling them that I am always support them behind their back.

Day 52: 01 April 2019

First week of April, sign that we are going to leave the school soon. I arrived late

because there are no classes since it is the start of their vacation. It made me sad, the

environment is different. I miss the noise of the surrounding, my closest students and my

handle students who greets me everyday and take my hand to bless every time I see them

in corridor. Mr. Rodrin told us that we only took one week to miss our students.

We only have 3 days for the preparation in the moving up ceremony on Thursday.

The Grade 10 students were in Calumapng covered court for practicing their march. The

two student teachers who handle the Grade 10 students are allow to attend the practice

with Mr. Rodrin. Last week, Ms. Tanael tell us to help the teachers for the ribbons and

other staff that will use on Thursday. Ms. Arandia asked me for help to make a ribbon for

the awardees, students, parents and faculty members. I also asked for the help of other

students teachers to finish it easily.

Day 53: 02 April 2019

Today is Tuesday, I arrived at school 6:50. As usual, I cleaned the office before

the teachers arrives. Ms, Arandia asked for help for making ribbons and sewing the

lanyards for the 50 medals with the help of my co-student teachers. I am the one who cut

the old lanyard from the medals, Ms. Jonna is the on who cut for the new lanyard that

will use, Ms. Aura and Ms. Carla who sew and Ms. Jemina is the one who pack it up. By

the helped of one another we finish it easily. When I have nothing to do, I clean the

classroom in which we stayed up until we are waiting. I swept the floor and arrange the

books of the students and put it on the bookshelves

Day 54: 03 April 2019

Today is Wednesday, as the morning routine we arrived at school before 7 am, I

cleaned the office before the teachers arrive. I thought that today we are assigned in

covered court to know what is our role for tomorrow's moving up ceremony but the

teachers would not allow us. In the morning we are not busy, I thought that all are settled

and finish. But Ms. Arandia asked for help, we need finish sewing the 100 lanyard of the

medals that will be given for the honors and awardees. We are 5 student teacher left in

school, we decided to have an assign task to finish it. But the lanyard is not enough for

100 medals, Ms. Anna went to market and but while we are still waiting for her. When

she came back we continue making tha medals. When it is about 1 pm, its already finish.

The next one we arranged are the ribbons, certificate and programs for moving-up

ceremony of Grade 10 students and other awardees. And after that we allow to go home

early.

Day 55: 04 April 2019

This is the last day of our Practice Teaching at Lumampong National High

School-Calumpang Annex at the same time is the moving up of the Grade 10 students

and recognition of the awardees from Grade 7-9. At exact 8 in the morning the

baccalaureate mass was started that attended by the students together with the teachers,

parents and practice teachers and held in Calumpang Cerca covered court. The minister

blessed the medals, ribbons and certificate of the awardees

Since the moving up ceremony will be started at 2 in the afternoon we decided to

spend our remaining time and preparation at the house of Ms. Carla Chavez. After we

take our lunch we started to prepare ourselves and I also help my co-student teachers for

their make-up and hair style. This is my second time wearing dress, since I am fan of

pants and t-shirt. We arrived at the covered court at 1:30 and we help in the preparation

for the students.

Ms. Amihan tells us to assist the students and the parent when the ceremony

starts. We start the program with the prayers, national anthem and pledge of allegiance.

Followed by the speech of the guests and lastly is the dissemination of diploma to the

graduates, medals and certificate for the awardees. You can see the excitement and joyful

in the faces of the students and the parents.

I felt the mixed emotions of sadness and happiness. Finally, after four years of

hardship they will moving on for the next chapter of their lives but this time they begin it

with separate path. I wanted to tell them that it is not the end but the beginning of their

ong ride journey. I can’t wait to see them all successful in the future eventhough I am not

their student teacher. Their success will serve as my success. Good luck graduates!
