Science subject. She is a kind and approachable Science teacher. Even though she
is not an English teacher Mrs. Diloy helped me for the English subject and section that I
supposed to teach. And I was able to teach the grade 9-Antipolo for 60 days and have no
classes every Monday. She gave me a lesson for the next day and it is about Romeo and
Juliet. I should provide a movie for the students to easily understand the story. For
Wednesday I need to execute the lesson based on what they’ve watch. Also, Ma’am gave
me a book that I will use for lesson and list of students for their output in the entire
On 12:30 I was able to observed her grade 7 Molave that my CT handled. Since
they are busy my CT gives me some ideas, tips and background about my handled
section. She discussed a lesson for that day. She even told that I must be a superior rather
than them. I should not show my weak spot on them not to abused me. It was an
exhausted day. And I was thinking what happen for the 60 days of teaching. A single is

When I arrived to school, we are able to sign in a log book as a proof that we
came to school early in the morning. Ms. Marita Diloy told me yesterday that I need to
provide a character list that will able to disseminate for my students; the Grade 9-
Antipolo. As for today, for the next lesson which is the story of “Romeo and Juliet”, I am
able to show them a movie that they will watch. Yesterday we borrowed their 7 am class
to Ms. Luisa just to finish the movie. Ms. Diloy decided to combined the section that
handled by Ms. Griar. It is about 9 in the morning and still the movie is not yet done and
it will be their break time. They wanted to take to go out, as Ms. Diloy permission she
decided to cut the movie and tomorrow will be the continuation. Since I did not know
who are my handle students and I am not familiar with them because I am not yet meet
them. So I would not allow them to go out until the classroom is in mess. I look at them
seriously, and ask them to arrange the chairs before they go out. When they already
arrange the chairs and clean up the mess I let them to took their break.
Ms. Arandia gave me one week to focus on my Grade-9 students, she said thet I
I arrived at school at 6:46 am, I go to school with lack of sleep. This is my first
time to meet my students that is why I feel nervous. My heart beat fast, I think I am not
feeling well. I imagine on what may happen in my first formal class. I always remember
on what my college teacher experience while she is in practice teaching. She cried in
front of her students because of theire attitude. I am thinking that it can also happens to
me. My class was start at 8 am, since yesterday we did not finish watching the movie
“Romeo and Juliet” and there are still 45 minutes remaining to finish the movie. Every
class has only 1 hour and we only have 15 left and not enough for discussion. I am
disappointed at first, I prepared myself last night for my first lesson but it would not
happen. So I decided to use the remaining time to introduce myself on Grade 9 students. I
also mentioned my rules and regulation in my class. While they introduce themselves, I
am thinking if I can handle this kind of faces with different attitude and interest. In first
impression, I think that some boys makes me hard to close with. Before I dismiss my
class I gave them a copy of the list of characters in Romeo and Juliet and told them to
Ms. Arandia told me that my handled students are not easy to be with. She said
that I should not be expecting too much from them. I should have a long patience every
day, my handle section is the worst among them all. While she gives me some advice it
seems that it a challenge for me and at the same time more interesting. Also, she said that
I need to use simple words and sentences to easily understand the lesson and as much as
possible, my examples should be related on the trending events to make the student pay
attention in every discussion. She reminds me that I should not be too friendly with my

students and shows my strong personality and authority in class to not abuse my some
students. She added, even I gave them a lot of reading materials they will not read it. I
need to ready myself for three months of teaching; I felt that it would not easy to
For this morning I arrived at school at 6:36. This is it, it is my first day of my
proper lesson on Grade 9 Antipolo. Of course, feeling nervous would not avoided since it
is the first formal teaching experience. As what Ms. Arandia's advices yesterday, I was
not expecting to them to listen and participate in my class. When I entered the room, I
greet them and start the class with the prayer. I also ask them to pick some piece of paper
under their chairs. When I felt that they are lack of energy and sleepy I started with
motivation. I group my students into two, they will pick a word and they need to act it out
and the other group will be guessing what is about. I give them only 1 minute for that
game. And after that, I asked them if they are familiar with William Shakespeare and if
they have any idea about him. I also gave a short background about Romeo and Juliet.
Since they already watched the movie of Romeo and Juliet I expected that they all
understand the lesson. I started it with introducing the character in which they match the
character that is posted and guess who is being describes in each item. I was shocked
because they answer it correctly and participate in the activity. When I already discussed
the story of Romeo and Juliet, I called random students to answer my questions. Some of

students can’t answer because they are afraid of speaking English but at least they tried.
I went to Ms. Diloy to asked my next topic for tomorrow and she also gave me
her feedback about my first discussion. She told me that I should practicing my diction
and pronunciation as same as Mr. Feranil feedback on my exit demo teaching last
semester. She said that I should also always speak English since I am English teacher.
This is my 5th day in student teaching experience. I survived my first week and
more weeks to experience. It seems that 1 week is like one month because of tiring days.
In past few days, I was prepared with my lesson but today I was afraid because I was not
ready for my lesson. Last night, I did not notice that I took a sleep because of tiredness.
My lesson plan is not yet finish and difficult for me to make a lesson plan since it has no
lesson proper, it is just a literary piece that I should execute. It is hard also to think
activities that related to the literary piece and can caught the attention of the students. I
did not expect that my CT and Ms. Diloy observes my class and I was totally not

expected, Grade 9 students did not cooperate with my discussion even though I discuss

names and recall on what they have learned or remember from the previous lesson, I was
shocked mostly in boys. They not afraid fo raise their hand and answer even they had
difficulties in speaking English. They are still tried although they are grammatically
incorrect. It makes me feel happy and unexpected because of the attitude that they had
shown. But in proper lesson, they would not answer my questions. I did not know if they
afraid to answer or they really did not know the answers. I continue my class, even
though my nervous are too obvious right away. But again, I did not finish my discussion
because there is an interruption. I am not happy and satisfy with my discussion. I felt I
I realized that I should always study my lessons every day and be prepared.
Failure is always part of our success, it serves as a lesson. Today, I am physically and
mentally drained.
Today is Saturday, supposedly my free day to take a rest and refresh my mind for
the first week of being student teacher. My body want to give up and I want is to take a
rest in whole day but I cannot do it. We went to school for Saturday duty. I arrived at
school before 8 in the morning for the early registration for the incoming Grades 7
students. On the orientation in our first day, Mr. Fabregar advice us that we should follow
the instructions of the head teacher that may gave to us. As a student teacher, we must
follow the rules and regulations of the school that is why for one month we are required

to attend Saturday duty. We cannot do anything just to come on school every Saturday
In the morning, there are only five students who are arrived and list their names
for registration. After that, they will come back on brigada for enrollement. It is not so
busy day, I used the free time to do my work and task for next week. I checked the
quizzes and activities of my students that they took for one week. And also, I advance my
lesson plan for incoming days to pass and check by Ms. Diloy. We allow to home at 2 in
the afternoon but I arrived in Magallanes at 5 in the afternoon. I only come home every

Seeing my students who show their misbehaviour, I just want to lock myself on my room
and sleep. For me, I do not wanted to mad at them but they push me through.
Monday and it was my first meeting with my Grade 7 Molave and I am little bit nervous.
They are too young too handle and take care of. I will mingle the 40 students with
different behaviour. Their age range into 11-14, an age in which priority is playing. As
always, I start the class with a prayer. At first, I introduce myself to them and the course
that I was taking since it is the first time I met them. I saw excitement in their faces as I
talked in front. I gave them a time to ask me some questions. But I avoided to answer
some personal informations. After that, I asked them to introduce themselves and their

expectations to me as their student teacher. They always keep saying that I am “mabait”
and they hope that they will learn more from me. I can see the innocence and happiness
in their faces. My heart burst with happiness and enjoyment. One of my student asked me
if I will teach someday. I stop and thinking because teaching is not my dream and
passion. “Do I really like teaching?” I asked myself. I just answered, “In God’s will and
perfect time.”
After we getting to know one another we start the lesson, Ms. Arandia gave them
an activity last meeting and today they will able to answer it. Some of them did not
understand the questions, so that I translate it in ‘tagalog’ for them to easily understand
and answer the activity. Since the class will start at 12:10, it is not enough to discuss their

and it may not be spoon feeding that is why I got mad. I gave them a long time to read
and understand the story. I do my best but they did not appreciate it and took for granted.
Even the characters of the story, they are not familiar. I gave them a surprise short quiz
and as I expected no one get a perfect score. It was in favored for me but I translate the
story into tagalog just to easily understand with my students and we can move on for the
next lesson.
In my Grade 7-Molave I continue the lesson that Ms. Arandia discuss yesterday, I
translate it into tagalog while explaining. As Ms. Mhyls said, they have difficulties in

supposed to speaks in English because it is our medium of language. And also I discuss
the one-act play and its elements and I connect it to the literary piece that I had discuss.
Even though they are struggling in speaking English they tried their best to answer my
questions and participate in discussion and activities. While they making an activity I

high school days, we are all afraid to make a noise in our class because we are all scared
in our teachers and we highly respect them. Maybe they think it is an old beliefs but it
help to shape us to become a better person who we are today. But today, it change a lot,

that Ms. Diloy is a professional teacher. As Ms. discuss, some students keep on talking
with seatmates, create extreme noise, went everywhere and not listening. But one think I
notice, the boys who interrupt the class is also the one who are active and participate in

I told them many times to read the story “Driving Miss Daisy” for our next lesson and a
while ago when I ask them a question they cannot answer my questions and also even

but I control myself instead I got mad because of their attitude. I don’t deserve to cry and
shows to them that I am weak because I tell myself that I won’t cry.
We start with the activity; they were able to figure out the words what is missing
in each item. I also asked them if they have a friend, what is their idea of friendship and
how they choose a friend. And I gave a quotation that they need to explain. “A friend in
need is a friend in deed” which is connected for our next lesson. One of student answer
me, “A friend is not the one who will be there for you in happy times but also in
hardship.” I realized that she is right, but for today it is difficult to recognize and find a
true one.
In the afternoon, I was attended for the discussion of Ms. Mhyls in Grade 7
Molave and after I will teach the grade 7 acacia. The lesson that I was tackled was
importance of metallic deposits and what is the relationship between metallic deposits
and volcanoes. And for the additional was the source of energy that supply in the

This is the second Saturday duty. There are some incoming Grade 7 student with

In every discussion, before I introduce the next topic I make sure to recall the
previous lesson to test if they learn something. Yesterday, I was not able to gave a short
quiz since there is no time left. For today’s class I was observed by my cooperating
teacher; Ms. Arandia. I was ready and prepared for my discussion. The only thing she
noticed in my class is the time management. Even though I mastered the lesson, I should
also consider the time since it was one othe most important thing in teaching. I only have
one hour and I should consume it for one lesson. Of course, it is hard for me because I
wanted my all students understand the lesson. She also gave me some ideas and tips for
struggling on how I explain and execute it to my students. Science is the subject I hate the
most since elementary. My cooperatinv teaching gave me a consideration and she is the
one who taught on Grade 7 Molave. While he is teaching and explaining I am at the back
of her class to take down some impostant information. When I really understand the
lesson, Ms. Arandia allows me to discuss it on the Grade 7 Acacia. I execute the lesson
very well. At some point, I am not an approachable person. I am afraid to ask an help for

SSG officers. After the flag ceremony, the SSG vice president introduce the cancidates
for SSG 2019-2020 and give some platforms that they implement if when they won in the
election. As always, they wanted to serve in the school, help the students for
improvement, garbage management are some platforms that retain in my mind. When it
is about 7:20, the students go back to their rooms for the classes.
I have no class for Grade 9, I use my time to update my lesson plan for the
tomorrow's discussion. While in Grade 7 Molave and Acacia, I only gave them a short

Day came. They know that I am not a materialistic kind of person or even likes

My student JP Abaño who is the most naughty in their class and become my enemy in the
past few days gave me a flower with a heart shape staff and letter. I felt touch with that
simple presence. The other Grade 7 students and other students who are not so close to
me gave me some chocolates and letters that makes me special. My heart burst with love.
Actually, simple greeting is enough, but showing their love for me made me feel loved. It
is one of the best day that I cannot forget and I will treasure in my teaching life. I
appreciated their efforts , even the letters with full of love. And I realized that Valentines

I went to school with my co-student teachers. As usual, I cleaned the office before

the one who guided the two section since Ms. Griar has a classes. This is not my first
time to handle his section, but I got struggling because of their attitude especially the
boys. They create an extreme noise and went go out without permission. I would not
allow my students to take a seat in chair but instead in floor to be fair with the other
section. They are not listening in instructions, they keep on sitting in chair ever they are
not allowed. After they have watched the movie, I gave both section a homework that

they cleaning their classroom, I helped the students to clean it very well.

promote the peaceful and cleanliness of the school. I am hoping that the platforms will
not serves as a word but instead an actions. And yet I am proud of her, I know and I
trusted that she will do her very best for the improvement of the school.

After lunch, I directly go to for my next class to guard them for doing their next
practical experiment in Science. I help the students for their experiment since they will

Last week, Ms. Tanael told us that we will having a celebration for Valentines
Day. She told us to bring some sweet foods for the exchange gift. I recieved a two packs
music. I went to school with a big smiles in every students I passes by. Today, in my

Ms. Arandia is busy and she asked for helped to teach the Grade 7 Molave and
Acacia. The time consumed for those students for are not participating in the class.We
had fun for our lesson today and at the same time the students learn a lot. When you are
teaching it is not about on how you share your knowledge but also let the student enjoy

Since I am not busy for today I decided to make an instructional material that I

should finish the Table of Specification and examination for them Grade 9 students. We
have a difficulty regarding on how to plot the item replacement. I asked a permission to
my Cooperating Teacher that I will not attend my class in Grade 7 because we need to
finish our exam before the day end. I am beyond blessed for giving me a cooperating

While I am busy for making an examination for my Grade 9 students and there is no
lesson that will able to teach, I announced to them that on March will be having a
culminating in English. They are able to present a scenes taken from the story Romeo and
Juliet. I also assigned them their group member and supposedly memorize the dialogue
that was given to them. As they are planning for the play, I brought my laptop to start
adviser, Mr. Fabregar went to school and tell to our head teacher that by next week will
be our final demonstration teaching.At the same time all cooperating teacher / critic
teacher is with us. They also revealed to us the date that we will be conducting our final
demo. Which is on March 06, 2019 I got shocked but also excited with little bit nervous.
But I knew through prayer and trust to Almighty God it will be accomplish and will
survive the final demonstration. My heart beat fast because we only have 6 days left for
preparation. I don’t still have a topic yet that I am going to use as my topic for my final
demo.

This is not so busy day, my lesson for my Grade 9 Antipolo is about direct and
indirect speech. Just like the active and passive voice I know that it took for week to
discuss this topic, because there are different rules that are needed to follow when
changing direct into indirect speech. It is not an easy lesson also when your students are
not participate in the discussion so that I provide many examples to easily cope up with
my students. By then again, not all students has a same capacity of understanding and
next week I use them as my students for my final demo teaching. They was excited and
also nervous but they told me that they will do their best for that day. On this day, I
started to make a lesson plan. My CT did not allow me to attend my class in Grade 7 just
activities in different subjects. When I arrived at school, the school was prepared for the
culminating in MAPEH. The MAPEH officers and Mr. Rodrin came to school early at 6
am for the prepartion of culminating activity. After I clean the office, I went to my Grade
9 students to check if they are ready for their presentation. I also their costumes and
props. In the afternoon, the program started while I am working with my lesson plan, but
when my students present I went out to watch and took a video of their presentation.

When the other section perform their presentation I went back to office and work
with my detailed lesson plan for final demonstration because my first lesson plan was
rejected and I need to choose another topic from the previous lesson. Ms. Tanael and Ms.
Arandia suggested that I should choose the grammar insted of literary piece, it can makes
the student participate in the discussion and at the same time it looks like that you really
know the subject matter. Then I chose the Direct and Indirect, this is the lesson that I had
discuss when they observed my class. My goal for today is to finalize my lesson plan. My
Grade 9 students are busy for the upcoming culminating in MAPEH, so I gave them a
free time for practice. I am too busy today, I forgot to take my lunch.
Ms. Arandia tells me that when March came there are no much classes because of
the culminating activities. We talked about her random experience as a teacher for
decades. I mentioned her last time that I would not teach after graduation and I will try to

went to the school as early as 6:20 and we arrived late. We are the one who helped and
accommodate to the panelist. I took some pictures of my co-student teacher who are in
Ms. Arandia helped me in my instructional materials that I will use tomorrow for
my final demonstration. She printed out all the things that I need to use and I am the one
who paste to make it as tarpapel. Ms. Mylene tells me that I should be more energetic and
smile in front while I am teaching and when it comes to instructional materials I should
take away those things that is already discussed. In 11 am, I had a dry run in Grade-9
Apitong, to be honest I am prepared since only today I finalize my lesson plan. I cannot
even know the flow of my discussion, I was feeling exhausted and wasted. All I need is
to take a rest but Ms. Arandia and Ms. Diloy observed my dry run with Grade 9. As I
expected, the result is not too good because I lost my focus and I am yet ready. After that,
Ms. Arandia told me that I also have a dry run in Grade 10-Mahogany, a section that was
not close to me. It is the first time I attend their class. I only have 1 hour to prepare and
study my lesson plan before I went to Grade 10 and I did not even took my lunch. I was
expecting that they are not interested and listen to me same as the Grade 9 since they do

For the Grade 9 students is the Florante at Laura, both sections are good in acting. And
lastly is the Grade 10 students who are excellent in performing. They provided a
background music, props and you can see that they are prepared. As a judge I gave them
a score that they deserve. We end the program at exact 2:15 in the afternoon. Ms. Kris
explained to me on how to get the best and supporting actor and actress.

students that I got close in the past few days. They keep telling me that they will miss me

other staff that will use on Thursday. Ms. Arandia asked me for help to make a ribbon for
the awardees, students, parents and faculty members. I also asked for the help of other
the teachers arrives. Ms, Arandia asked for help for making ribbons and sewing the
lanyards for the 50 medals with the help of my co-student teachers. I am the one who cut
the old lanyard from the medals, Ms. Jonna is the on who cut for the new lanyard that
will use, Ms. Aura and Ms. Carla who sew and Ms. Jemina is the one who pack it up. By
the helped of one another we finish it easily. When I have nothing to do, I clean the
classroom in which we stayed up until we are waiting. I swept the floor and arrange the

covered court to know what is our role for tomorrow's moving up ceremony but the
teachers would not allow us. In the morning we are not busy, I thought that all are settled

medals that will be given for the honors and awardees. We are 5 student teacher left in
school, we decided to have an assign task to finish it. But the lanyard is not enough for

she came back we continue making tha medals. When it is about 1 pm, its already finish.
The next one we arranged are the ribbons, certificate and programs for moving-up
ceremony of Grade 10 students and other awardees. And after that we allow to go home
early.
School-Calumpang Annex at the same time is the moving up of the Grade 10 students
and recognition of the awardees from Grade 7-9. At exact 8 in the morning the
baccalaureate mass was started that attended by the students together with the teachers,
parents and practice teachers and held in Calumpang Cerca covered court. The minister
spend our remaining time and preparation at the house of Ms. Carla Chavez. After we
take our lunch we started to prepare ourselves and I also help my co-student teachers for
their make-up and hair style. This is my second time wearing dress, since I am fan of
pants and t-shirt. We arrived at the covered court at 1:30 and we help in the preparation
Ms. Amihan tells us to assist the students and the parent when the ceremony
starts. We start the program with the prayers, national anthem and pledge of allegiance.
Followed by the speech of the guests and lastly is the dissemination of diploma to the

graduates, medals and certificate for the awardees. You can see the excitement and joyful
I felt the mixed emotions of sadness and happiness. Finally, after four years of
hardship they will moving on for the next chapter of their lives but this time they begin it
with separate path. I wanted to tell them that it is not the end but the beginning of their
