    My name is Sierra Brewer, and I am a junior at Maryknoll High School. I

    am writing to the Sierra Club concerning a research project that asks if

    environmental ethics share relevant intersectionality with the natural world.

    I am keenly aware that the ‘Oahu Chapter of the Sierra Club has

    members who not only advocate for the environment but respect it and deem

    it as a faculty for wonder and invigoration. Such dispositions align with the

    three points my research aims to prove: moral considerations affect

    environmental considerations; humans have moral obligations to the natural

    world; appreciation for nature plays a role in a morally good life.

    If there is a member of the Sierra Club that is drawn to assist me in

    research— have it be through sharing helpful resources or meeting up in person
