NOTIFICATION
Subsequent to the meeting held on 8th May 2020 through video conferencing and MHRD
advisories for NITs vide F.No.33-6/2020-TS.III, dated 1st May, 2020 in view of the lockdown
period due to out-break of pandemic COVID-19, this is to inform all the final year B. Tech
students that the following grading methods will be adopted by the Institute to complete the 8th
Semester examination.

1) Theory Courses: Theory courses will be graded based on 50:50 model as per MHRD
guidelines i.e. 50% weightage towards internal assessments (Mid Term, Class Tests,
Assignments and Quizzes) and the remaining 50% will be awarded on the basis of
average marks of 7th Semester. In this regard, additional assignments and quizzes may be
uploaded by the Course Instructor.

2) Lab Courses: Evaluation pattern of lab courses will be on the basis of the number
experiments completed before 16thof March, 2020. In this regard, experiment related
quiz/test may be conducted by the Course Instructor. The lab experiment reports must be
submitted to the concerned Department.

3) Project Work/ Thesis: Superseding the earlier notification circulated vide No-
NITMGH/AA/Student-notice/2020-2021, dated, 4th May, 2020, the final year B. Tech
students are directed to complete the project work with submission of soft copy thesis to
the concerned Supervisor as per the schedule presented below.
