Comments:
Nicole successfully and superbly engages and supports all students in learning. In particular, she
connects the content to students' lives and interests as well as keeps students engaged through
providing meaningful and relevant learning experiences. Along with her animated personality
and excellent presentation skills, Nicole provides visual support and guided instruction through
use of self-made instructional videos on YouTube, SeeSaw, Google Slides, and Zoom. In

Comments:
Nicole proficiently creates and maintains effective environments for students. She has a positive
demeanor, acknowledges students' responses with positive feedback, and has built a strong
rapport with her students. Nicole is supportive and promotes a positive and safe learning
environment where her students feel free to share their experiences and learning with each
other. She continues maintain high expectations with support for all her students as well as
connects them to appropriate supports, including references to pictures, sentence frames, and
graphic organizers.

Comments:
Nicole is very intentional and reflective when she organizes subject matter for student learning.
She is resourceful when she plans lessons, making sure to include students' background
knowledge and learning needs. Nicole is knowledgeable in making content accessible for all
types of learners, providing visual comprehensible input and integrating technology (including
Zoom and mirroring techniques). In addition, she demonstrates knowledge of the subject matter,
including the state standards and learning frameworks. In addition to using knowledge of her
students and learning goals, Nicole organizes and presents the curriculum in a way that her
students understand the content.

Nicole is conscientious about planning instruction and designing learning experiences for all
students. She is well aware of students' learning needs and learning goals. In turn, she has
effectively and superbly planned and delivered instruction in a meaningful and clear manner for
all students through use of digital tools and technologies. In particular, Nicole ensures her
lessons are interactive and provides opportunities for students to demonstrate their learning in
all literacy domains (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) as well as makes cross-
disciplinary connections, including art and writing.

In addition to the completion of the CAL TPA Cycle 2, Nicole has efficiently involved students in
self-assessment and has gained proficiency in use of technology to support assessment
analysis and communication of results. Through use of SeeSaw and synchronous lessons on
Zoom, she has been able to monitor students' learning, modify instruction, and provide feedback
in a timely manner. In addition, Nicole incorporates informal assessments to check for
understanding throughout her lessons.

Comments:
As a proactive teacher candidate with a strong work ethic, Nicole has demonstrated
professionalism and positive dispositions throughout the entire semester even through the
transition to distance learning. She quickly demonstrated her readiness and willingness to
implement digital tools to support students' learning. She has continued to reflect on her learning
experiences, her instruction, students' learning, and collaborations with her Mentor Teacher.
Nicole has also maintained open communication and has continued to conduct herself with
integrity and determination.

Comment:
Nicole has built wonderful rapport with her Mentor Teacher and students. She has excellent
communication skills and easily relates to students and adults. Nicole has continuously and
effectively collaborated and consulted with her grade level team as well as proficiently utilized
digital tools and technologies to deliver instruction. She is an immensely hard-working teacher
candidate with a positive demeanor and is dedicated to her students and education.
Furthermore, Nicole has received constructive feedback in a professional manner and continues
to reflect on refining her instructional skills. In addition, she is very approachable, personable,
creative, and has superb organizational skills.
