Part 3 schools
Part 3 schools sing a lower harmony line in most songs when the vocal line splits
into parts. When the vocal line is not split, part 3 schools sing the melody in
unison.

Part 3 schools sing the line specified below:

Gaudete – choruses lowest stave (marked Voice 3), verses unison

In The Bleak Midwinter – lowest stave (marked Voice)

EXCEPT: In section F (page 5), sing in highest stave for bar 67-70 (“on snow”) – the
low Eb for “on” and then hold the Bb for “snow”, then return to lowest stave at bar 71
(“in the bleak” etc. )

Spanish Carol – lowest stave in the choruses, verses unison

A Christmas Waltz – bottom stave throughout 2-part sections

Middle stave throughout 3-part sections, unison in 1 part sections
