5.Steel shall be high strength deformed bars confirming to
IS1786:1985 Grade Fe415.
FOUNDATION PLAN 6. Reinforcement shall be bent and positioned in
accordance to the procedure specifiedin IS2502:1963.
7. Clear cover to the reinforcement shall be as follows.
a. Footing -50 mm
b. Slab & Walls - 25 mm on liquid retaining side
c. Beams - 25 mm
d. Column - 40 mm
8. Lap length shall be 50Ø.
9. Chairs of approved type shall be used.
10. 100 mm thick PCC of 1:4:8 shall be provided under the raft.
11. Levels are in Meter.
12. The unit shall be laid over naturally consolidated firm
ground.
13. Safe bearing capacity of soil is 100 KN/SQ. M.
