CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Based on the data and results gathered, the advantages and disadvantages of having
homogeneous sections as basis for redesigning classroom sectioning have been identified.
The researchers have confirmed that the negative results on having of homogeneous
sections in heavier than its advantages with the following explanation:

1. The students-both homogeneous and heterogeneous sections- experience

discrimination due to the barrier created by the sectioning that classifies them
according to their scholastic ability. This eventually leads an individual (most likely
from the lower sections) to question their abilities and status in the educational
hierarchy, which then affects their self-esteem and performance in school.
2. The homogeneous sections are always recognized for their high academic
performance, causing the heterogeneous sections to be expected to perform less. This
is due to the uneven distribution of agile students among heterogeneous sections
which give the Homogeneous sections a greater advantage in terms of academic
achievement.
3. The redesigning of classroom sectioning would result in fair treatment among
sections. Homogeneous sections receive advanced or different tasks or lessons from
other sections.
4. The Homogeneous section students experience pressure from the expectations of
teachers and fellow students.
5. The redesigning of classroom sectioning would also discontinue all negative effects of
Homogeneous sectioning and the negative mindset it has brought upon the students.
