RA 10912

Republic Act No. 10912 known as the “Continuing Professional Development Act of 2016”, this act
focuses on the promotion and upgrade of the country’s professions. The Continuing Professional
Development or CPD It refers to the process of tracking and documenting the skills, knowledge and
experience that you gain both formally and informally as you work, beyond any initial training. It's a
record of what you experience, learn and then apply.  The CPD services compromise of events with
instruction and performance including tasks and job experiences. In each of the regulated professions
there has CPD Council with the guidance of the Professional Regulatory Boards concerns. Each CPD
Council shall consist of a chairperson and two members , it requires to be the president or officer of
Accredited Integrated Professional Organization/Accredited Professional Organization or AIPO/APO. The
another member requires to be a president or officer of the national organization or a chairperson of
schools, colleges or universities that offers the course requiring the licensure examination. The term of
office of the chairperson depends with his/her term period in the PRB unless replaced by the PRB. The
two members should have a term period of 2 years unless replaced sooner by the PRB. CPD is
mandatory requirement in the Renewal of Professional License and Accreditation System for the
Practice of Professions of all the registered and license professionals under PRC’s regulation.
