Dear President Duterte,

Greetings in good faith, from your loyal elderly constituents of La Union!

In accordance with your benevolent administration’s enactment of Republic Act 11350,

or the “National Commission of Senior Citizens Act”, may we offer our most heartfelt
gratitude for placing the interests of our nation’s elderly as top priority in your national
agenda. May the enactment of this relevant law continue to empower the rights and
societal roles of our growing number of Filipino senior citizens and further enhance their
access to government programs and services for the betterment of their health, welfare,
and continued participation in nation-building.

In this regard, may we respectfully endorse to your kind office the appointment of Hon.
Milagros Aquino-Magsaysay as Commissioner for the National Commission of Senior
Citizens. Under her representation of the elderly sector during her time as
Representative for the Senior Citizens Partylist in the 17 th Congress, she has
coordinated closely with various elderly sector groups around the country and has
legislated bills and measures that uphold the health, opportunities, protection, and
empowerment of our senior citizens, particularly those who are marginalized. With her
display of proper leadership and commitment to the pressing needs of our growing
elderly population, it is our resounding confidence that the Bacnotan Senior
Citizens’Association Inc. (BSCAI), are united in this respectful endorsement.

With your blessing and support, Mr. President, we envision a great future for our
growing elderly population, where their needs are properly assessed and addressed
with decisive leadership and courageous and caring action. We humbly and respectfully
appeal to your kind office for consideration of this modest endorsement.
