To whom it may concern,

Enclosed you will find my resume and overview of my knowledge of musical

equipment, in application for Reverb’s open position of “Music Gear Customer
Experience Specialist”. I was told of the position from my friend Chloe DeVries,
who is working in your data analysis department.

I’ve always loved working with people in general, but to have a chance to work
with people and improve their lives in music, my specialized field, would be
something I’d be very excited about doing, very apt for, and be able to translate
into direct results for Reverb. I have direct experience with solution-based
customer support, most recently being a main point of contact for resolving any
issues customers may have at Trader Joe’s. On my attached list of musical
equipment experience, you will also see that I have a very wide base of
knowledge about musical gear, especially as I studied two different instruments
and worked in countless different genres including jazz, contemporary chamber
music, hip-hop, orchestral, Brazilian samba, Afro-cuban song and dance, Ghanian
drumming and dance, South Indian Carnatic music, rock/pop, and soul/gospel .

As a conservatory-educated improvising musician, my whole life is a continuous

experience of and dedication to finding and shaping my own musical voice –
finding what the music is asking me to say in any particular moment. In the 21 st
century, as gear gets more and more specialized and electronics continue to
progress, the equipment that musicians use is more and more a defining part of
their sound. I would love to be able to help people along that same journey,
helping them find their own sound and voice by helping them find the right
equipment.

Thank you for your consideration. Please follow up with either my cell phone or
email as attached at the top of this cover letter.

Respectfully,

Jacob Victor
