It has been an impressive and inspiring journey for NSIT to become a
full-fledged state university. Since its establishment in 1983, NSIT has
proven itself to be a beacon of knowledge for students not only from
India but all over the world. With commitment and support from all the
stakeholders, the institute has all along delivered excellent results.

Technology (NSIT) has been upgraded and converted into a full-
fledged University to be known as Netaji Subhas University of
Technology (NSUT), which will be inaugurated on 26th September
2018. It is noteworthy that a booklet ‘Journey of NSUT’ is being
released the occasion of its Inaugural day. I am really thrilled to inform
you that our Government took the decision to upgrade Netaji Subhas
Institute of Technology into a full-fledged University i.e. Netaji Subhas
University of Technology in the cabinet in 2015, keeping in view needs
of students. Now, this varsity will promote education programmes with

industry and Research & Development organisations for offering tailor-
made courses keeping in view societal needs. I hope that the move will KEJRIWAL
also increase opportunities for Delhi-based students who otherwise
have to seek education avenues outside. It will also create a much
larger pool of competent faculty, professional engineers and
researchers, which make a significant contribution towards making
Delhi ‘Technological Capital’ of India.I congratulate all the faculty

ABOUT US
NSUT ( formerly known as NSIT) is regarded as one of the premier engineering institutions in India. It
traces back a glorious history of nurturing some of the finest minds in the country. Apart from being
instrumental in providing quality education and research in various areas of the technical field, it also hosts
a spectrum of established companies for its internship and placement drives. NSUT believes in building
strong cultural roots among the students and strives to provide a balanced environment for their growth.

The journey of NSUT would be incomplete without the mention of DIT. Delhi Institute of Technology (DIT)
was established in July 1983 by the Delhi Government with approval from the Ministry of Human Resource
Development (MHRD), Govt. of India, to fulfil the persistent and ever-growing demand of manpower in the
field of technology. From 1983 till 1998, the Institute was operating from its old campus at the old I.G.
Block, Kashmere Gate, Delhi - 110006. The Institute was formally inaugurated in its own new campus in
Dwarka, New Delhi, on 23rd January, 1997 by Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the former Prime Minister of India.
The Institute was renamed as 'Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology' (NSIT) in the year 1997 and has now
been upgraded as 'Netaji Subhas University of Technology' (NSUT) in the year 2018. Commencing with a
single undergraduate program in the field of Electronics & Communication Engineering under the Faculty
of Technology, University of Delhi, NSUT has come a long way by introducing a number of engineering
programs in the fields of Computers, Instrumentation & Control, Manufacturing Processes & Automation,
Information Technology, Biotechnology and Mechanical Engineering. After acquiring the status of a
university, it is at the threshold of providing exhaustive learning in the disciplines of Applied Sciences &
Mathematics, Humanities & Social Sciences and Management.

INFRASTRUCTURE
NSUT ( formerly known as
NSIT) has a fully residential
campus on 145 acres of land.

The NSUT (formerly known as NSIT) has been a regular
recipient of accolades at the Harvard MUN. The Delegation
2018 was awarded the Outstanding Delegate accolade in
World Health Organization and the Diplomatic Mention award
in GA - SPECPOL at the 64th edition of Harvard National
Model United Nations.

Team Ares, an undergraduate multi-disciplinary student team of

space enthusiasts, qualified for the European Rover Challenge
2018 which was conducted by the Mars Society & The
European Space Society and is the first and only Indian team to
qualify in their first attempt.

NSUT delegation to the National University of Singapore made

its mark on the international Model UN map by winning 4
awards in the prestigious conference Singapore Model United
Nations 2018.

Venture Deeproots, a company that makes Computer Vision

based Intelligent Platform which could be retrofitted to
Agricultural Vehicles, was selected as one of the 35 companies
in the World Kazan Youth OIC Entrepreneurship Forum at Kazan,
Russia and also won the award for the 'Most Investable Idea' at
YSIF, Peking University, Beijing. It was the only Indian enterprise
to be selected among 35 excellent ideas being presented at the
summit.

CANSAT - Team Kalpana-1, an undergraduate team of 8

students, reached the finals of CanSat Competition 2018
conducted by American Astronautical Society (AAS) and NASA
by securing a percentile rank 7 and an overall rank 13 out of 165
teams worldwide.

MOKSHA
Moksha is the annual inter-college cultural
festival of Netaji Subhas University of
Technology, NSUT(erstwhile NSIT). Started in
2003, it is organized in the month of March.
It is a four-day extravaganza held every even
semester of the academic year. It is
considered to be one of the most renowned
cultural fests in north India & attracts
sponsorships from top corporate houses of Javed Ali, Jagjit Singh & Bohemia over the past
India including TCS, Intel and Airtel. Over the few years. The fest has an average footfall of over
past 12 years, Moksha has witnessed 25000 people and a lineup of around 150
leading artists from the music industry engaging in events such as Humour Fest, Street

COLLOQUIUM
Colloquium, the annual Literary and Debating festival of NSUT(formerly known as NSIT), integrates
various formats of debate under one conglomerate of three days. One of the many engaging events
under the aegis of Colloquium, NSUT MUN is one of the largest Model United Nations conferences in
the debating circuit. Various unique committees which highlight the issues of national and global
concern that prompt the delegates to find solutions to pressing affairs, while maintaining ingenious
diplomacy are simulated each year. Also, Netaji Subhas Memorial Parliamentary Debating tournament is
organised to provide a platform for the circuit's best to deliberate extensively on a plethora of issues. In
addition to the activities and events mentioned above, the literary department conducts panel
discussions, slam poetry and paper presentations every year, which sees participation from various
colleges all over India.

E-SUMMIT
Esummit is a two day event organised by the Entrepreneurship cell (ECELL) of NSUT. With events
ranging from case studies, mock stocks, global strategy and speakers like Mr. Nitin Saluja(CEO-
Chaayos), Mr.Brij Mohan et cetera to pump in the entrepreneurial rush in the entrepreneurial veins.

CONSILIUM
Consilium-Consilium is the annual Business Conclave of NSUT, organised by the Finance and
Economics Society (FES) and promises to be one of the most competitive Business Conclaves in the
Delhi circuit witnessing participation from renowned colleges like SRCC, IITs, IIMs, etc. The three-day
extravaganza begins with eminent speakers inspiring the young business enthusiasts. The events
organised during the conclave aim provide a platform for business enthusiasts to connect, interact and
engage in debates and come up with ideas and solutions for business as well as everyday problems.
 


ALUMNI CONNECT
Our alumni network, with over 5000 graduates, is
an expansive web of people that provides a
platform for alumni connect and career advice.

graduates can be found in reputed corporations
and research houses across the globe. Our
alumni serve as mentors and advisors who help
encourage the employers to hire NSUT
graduates for internships and permanent
positions.

Many graduates are highly accomplished in their

recognition of quality education at NSUT. In order
to keep the Alumni community connected with
the college and make networking easier, it has a

including CAT, GATE and civil services. Our
Alumni, Ira Singhal and Nidhi Gupta emerged as
toppers in the prestigious UPSC Civil Services
Examination, 2014, bagging the 1st and 3rd

being set every year. The Students Placement Coordinators actively participate in
organising Campus Recruitment Programme. By virtue of their hard work and dedication,
the students of NSUT have reached top positions in industries and academia. NSUT has an
excellent record of assuring confirmed jobs and internships in prestigious organisations
including Google, Amazon, Adobe, Flipkart, DE Shaw, Bharti Airtel, BPCL, Directi, Cisco

Institutes of Management (Ahmadabad, Calcutta, Kozhikode, and Lucknow), Faculty of
