12TH GRADE FINAL PROJECT

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Students are to work in groups of 3 or 4 members in order to prepare their final

project, which is due one week before May 27, 2020…This project substitutes
your second semester exam. It is strongly advised that you put in this project
your utmost efforts in demonstrating full command of your IB Business
Management knowledge acquired in the last 2 years. Be creative, innovative,
daring, think out of the box, enjoy yourselves and most of all, try to make this
project a real one to look forward to for development.

General Goal and Objectives:

Students are to create an Online-Virtual Business, very innovative. Start with an exciting
idea…Think of a Business that can solve a real problem, needs and wants of your
potential market segment, customers, etc…Could be a business related to Services,
Products or a combination of both…
Next, outline your strategies and approaches….By creating an outline, you can organize
your ideas…Think about, what this business will help solve, what service will it render,
what competition you may have…
Remember your Business Project, must have Visuals, such as a Webpage, IG Page,
Videos, demonstrating products, services, samples, in other words, you must show your
project in a real scenario….Don’t limit yourselves only to Powerpoint, be creative…

Steps for Preparing your Business Project: BACKOFFICE / INFRASTRUCTURE:

1.- Prepare a Business Plan, (BackOffice); Using actual and real numbers, you will
need to research this information, Taking into consideration the following:
a. General Idea, Business that you plan to execute, create…
b. Resources needed to initiate your business, Capital, Human Resources, etc...
c. Processes that will be used, Human Resources Strategies, Internal and
External Sources of Financing,

 d. Students must demonstrate and use Business Tools where needed and is
applicable in their project: Apply PEST ANALYSIS, SWOT ANALYSIS, Ansoff Matrix,
Boston Consulting Group, Balance Sheet,
e. Financial Analysis Proposal; Costs and Revenues Analysis, for operating the
business, management schemes and leadership styles that you intend to implement
f. Market segment that you intend to reach and service…
g. Prepare a Marketing Plan, detailing your Marketing Mix, strategies, cost
analysis and potential profitability..
h. Present a Cash Flow, Revenue and Expenses Forecast
i. Estimate your BreakEven Point for operations
j. Present a business sustainability plan, in other words, plans for keeping your
Business running and growing in the near future

Steps for Preparing your Business Project: FRONTOFFICE / STRUCTURE:

1. Have FUN…FUN…FUN…BE CREATIVE, SHOWCASE YOUR BUSINESS,

WEBPAGE, VIDEOS, POWERPOINT, INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK, TWITTER,
YOUTUBE CHANNEL, ANYTHING YOU LIKE OR COMBINATION OF
PLATFORMS…

2. You are required to do an AWESOME presentation with real life samples, of your
Business Idea, Logos, Theme, Products, Designs, Services, other..

3. Your Project must be submitted with samples, links and Print Screens of points
used from item 1…integrated in a Powerpoint General Presentation, containing
links to other platforms used and/or images…

4. I recommend you bench mark, look at Online Businesses, and see how they are
doing it, and how you could do it better, more interesting and captivating in order
to attract customers and keep customers coming back….

5. Watch Shark Tank, The Profit, videos on Youtube to get ideas on new
businesses from other ONLINE entrepreneurs, etc…

6. Remember, I will always will be available to coach and guide your teams
throughout the development of this Final Project, during our DL sessions and
