0 Conclusion
To sum up, the objective of this task given is successfully achieved. From this task, we have
completed this task which is to prepare the taking off sheet for concrete work, reinforcement and
formwork of building structural part such as pad footing, stump, slab and also beam. Other than
that, we also prepared the Bill of Quantities and the total cost for this project was estimated. The
overall cost are based on the price rate given in Appendix 1 for calculating the reinforcement, while
for calculating the formwork and concrete work, the price rate are calculated in our cost estimation.
Thus, based on our calculation, the total estimated cost for this project is RM4147.72 including the
profit. From this task, we also had came out with a prototype of pad footing and stump that fully
utilize the reinforcement based on structural drawing and had presented the prototype with a sample
taking off and cost estimation. In addition, this task gives us experience on how to exactly to
manage cost estimation in construction using appropriate technique guide by our lecturer, and
modern engineering and IT tools as well to well-defined the engineering problems with an
awareness of the limitations.
