ABOUT NAZCA LINES
Located in the arid Peruvian coastal plain, some 400 km south of
Lima, the geoglyphs of Nazca and the pampas of Jumana cover about
450 km2. These lines, which were scratched on the surface of the
ground between 500 B.C. and A.D. 500, are among archaeology's
greatest enigmas because of their quantity, nature, size and
continuity. The geoglyphs depict living creatures, stylized plants and
imaginary beings, as well as geometric figures several kilometres
long. They are believed to have had ritual astronomical functions.

desired to visit Ica Vineyards and fly the Nazca lines but don´t have
much time. Because is Ica the best place where you’ll get the
opportunity to sample some of Peru’s finest wines, Ica is located at
the foot of the mountains and is a short distance from the sea. It is
precisely this varied landscape that allows the grapes at Queirolo to
ripen into such high-quality vintages.
PROGRAM DETAIL
We’ll pick you up at your hotel in Ica, or from the bus station. You’ll be
transported to the Ica's regional airport nearby. Our staff will assist
you with the check-in procedure, such as paying your airport tax,
going through security, and being weighed. On board a Cessna Grand
Caravan, which comfortably 12 seats passengers, you will enjoy a
flight over twelve of the world-famous Nazca Lines. After the flight,
we will continue on a tour of the vineyard and the distillation area,
you’ll get a first-hand look at how it all happens. The sommelier will
guide the tour, as well as the tasting of either wine or pisco. During
lunch, visitors will get to enjoy an entree and dessert, paired with two
glasses of wine and a glass of pisco.

Cod 1075 Nazca lines towers & Maria Reiche museum

ABOUT THIS TOUR
If you are on a budget and can’t afford a flight or not to kind on flying
in small planes, you can still see a bit of the Nazca Lines by climbing
the observation tower. The tower only gets you a few feet off the
ground but it is enough to get the basic outline of three of the figures.
There are also a few lookout points from local mountains where you
can see some basic shapes and geometric figures.
Included in this tour is the visit to Maria Maria Reiche museum which
is located 5 Km north of the city of Nazca near to observation tower.
There's explanatory material among the textiles, mummies, pottery,
and skeletons from the Nazca, Paracas, Wari, Chincha, and Inca
cultures, the museum does a great job of showing the environment in
which Maria Reiche, principal investigator of the Nazca Lines, lived
and worked, and her vast collection of tools, notes, and sketches is
impressive. The remains of Mary and her sister Renata rest is this
house museum.

ABOUT THIS TOUR
Another interesting site around Nazca is the Chauchillas Cemetery.
This ancient cemetery is made of open graves in the desert with the
actual mummies till inside. The field is covered with bones and
graves.
The human remains are astoundingly well-preserved. The Peruvian
Desert's dry climate is of course a factor in the preservation, but
burial practices also contributed to the condition of many of the
corpses, some still hanging on to their hair and skin over 1200 years
after their demise. T
This program includes visits to the Puquios which is an old system of
subterranean aqueducts near the city of Nazca, Peru. Out of 36
Puquios, most are still functioning and relied upon to bring fresh
water into the arid desert.

cemetery, located on the south of Nazca, in the middle on the desert
closer to the Chauchilla valley. There you will see remains of the
Nazca old culture. Also you will visit the artisan gold extraction and

ABOUT THIS TOUR
This is a half day tour that includes the sand dunes on 4 x 4 buggies.
Our program includes visit to Ocongalla aqueduct, the Cachuachi
pyramids and the dunes.
PROGRAM DETAIL
We will pick you from your hotel to start with our tour to the Usaka
desert which is in the western lower part of the Nazca Valley. The
journey takes about 30 minutes and offers many interesting places to
visit. Our first stop will be in the archaeological place of Cahuachi
which is a citadel made of mud bricks. Here you will see temples and
pyramids that are more than 2000 years old. Then we will visit a place
called “Estaqueria” which is an archaeological place where you will
see big stakes embedded to the desert and some buildings made of
mud bricks. After that, we will go through a small town called “Tambo
de Perro” which is mainly inhabited by cotton farmers. Finally we will
go through the Nazca River and we will arrive to the Usaka desert. In
this place we will have an amusing ride on the dunes and we will go
to the top of one of the dunes to practice sand boarding. Our tour
conductor will give us some safety information and then we will slide
down the dunes on our sand boards. This sport is suitable for
everybody as it can be practiced by amateurs or professionals. This
tour is perfect to share a nice experience with family and friends.
After enjoying this trip, we will return to Nazca and finish our tour.
