Foreword: Northern Ireland is a part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain


and Northern Ireland
Actually, it is located northeast of the island of Ireland and shares a border to
the south and west with the Republic of Ireland.
Between these countries and the UK are very complex. We heard that the main
political divide in Northern Ireland is between unionists, who wish to see
Northern Ireland continue as part of the United Kingdom, and nationalists, who
wish to see Northern Ireland unified with the Republic of Ireland, independent
from the United Kingdom.
Generally, It is very complicated and we can not say about it anymore if we
don’t really know about it
Today we will only talk about the particular traits of North Ireland: location,
flag, culture, tourism…

- Northern Ireland is variously described as a country, province or region which
is part of the United Kingdom.
- Located in the northeast of the island of Ireland, Northern Ireland shares a
border to the south and west with the Republic of Ireland.

- In 2011, its population was 1,810,863, constituting about 30% of the island's
total population and about 3% of the UK's population.
- Now , its populatin is estimated about 1,885,400
III. Total area: 14,130 sq.km

Part B:Titanic Belfast (symbol of contemporary architecture
in Belfast, Northern Ireland.)

Titanic Belfast is a visitor attraction opened in 2012, a monument to Belfast's


maritime heritage on the site of the former Harland & Wolff shipyard in the
city's Titanic Quarter where the RMS Titanic was built. It tells the stories of the
Titanic, which hit an iceberg and sank during her maiden voyage in 1912, and
her sister ships RMS Olympic and HMHS Britannic.

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Opened: 31 March 2012.
