Executive summary

Equinox construction company Pvt Ltd is a small company in Bengaluru. The company will be
operating in the Bengaluru both small and large scale construction, repair, and
alteration projects focused on residential contracting. With the business boom that is
occurring in Bengaluru and the desire to improve overall profit margins, the company is
also planning to venture into construction of green building. This business plan will lay
out my goals and tasks to make this transition successful and create enough market
share to succeed in this highly competitive market.

As part of its growth and altered focus, FCC is planning on changing from a pvt company to
a LPP. This will allow greater access to investment funds to help in growth of the
company.

ECC strives to offer the finest quality design, site preparation, cost estimates,
construction, repair, and alteration to clients needing large scale construction services,
whether it be office buildings, warehouses, large apartment complexes, public works,
etc.

 Secure at least five large scale commercial contracts over the next three years.

 Expand base into other geographic areas such as outskirts of Bengaluru.

In real terms, the Indian construction industry registered an average annual growth rate of 3.5% during the
review period (2012–2016). The industry is expected to continue to expand over the forecast period (2017–
2021), driven by investments in residential, infrastructure and energy projects. Therefore there is a great
potential for us to grow.

Green construction has also made inroads into Indian market due to impetus given on renewable
energy, recycling of materials etc

There are a large number of competitors for us. We would not like to draw comparison with them.
We are the most trusted company amongst our clients. We also pay attention and take their
opinion .Therefore, they recommend us to their friends and family member.

Market segmentation

Urban Projects

ECC focuses on construction and wreckage/re-construction projects within urban


locations.  Office and residential buildings make up a majority of these projects.  ECC
desires to establish and maintain long-term relationships. Recent industry trends seem to
suggest that this segment will retain a relatively high growth rate for the foreseeable
future.

Government Contract Projects

ECC has not taken up Government contract projects till now. But, in the future it has
plans to take up such projects. High visibility and competitive bids are critical to capture
this segment of the market. One of the reasons why this segment is attractive is its
relative stability. Contracts from these sources are not dependent on the current market
conditions and will provide revenue even during an economic downturn.

Equinox offers services that allow the company to do whatever it takes to finish a
project. Some of these services include- design work, remodeling and alterations,
permitting, site preparation, carpentry, cement foundations, painting, and plumbing and
utilities installation. In addition, skills Equinox lacks can be subcontracted.

We will be concentrating on the customers who will provide us with the greatest
margin, in other words those clients desiring office building construction. This is the
fastest growing segment of commercial clients requiring our services. The other
categories that we will serve include the restaurant segment, the special facilities
segment, and all other potential commercial clients.

ECC has only a small amount of debt and intends to stay that way. We expect to see
increased profits from our market shift efforts by the end of 2 nd year. Over the next
three years we expect lower profits as we make inroads into this tough market(Green
building). We estimate that we will be able to reduce marginal costs and increase overall
profitability by  3rd  or  4th year as we grow
Size of Business

Ours is a small size company with very disciplined staffs. We are confined to Bengaluru
only with a 600sqft office @Wilson Garden.

We own 5 Personal computers which is supported by an Inverter and two printers.


Currently,we have 9(6 in office and 3 on site) employees working under us .Employees
working at the sites are hired based on contract as there is scarcity of workers in
Bengaluru.Construction equipments are hired from third party.

Mr. Beerappa is a civil engineer by profession who has successfully carried out many
small scale projects in Bengaluru.
