Guilford COUNTY.

This Deed, made this 30th day of December, 1889, by


Charles W. Blaylock and A. S. Blaylock his wife
of Guilford County, and State of N. C., of the first part, to
Banks Tate
of [blank] County, and State of [blank], of the second part, Witnesseth:
That said Chas W. Blaylock and wife A. S. Blaylock
in consideration of One hundred and Twenty Five Dollars, to
them paid by Banks Tate, the receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold, and by these presents doth bargain, sell
and
convey to said Banks Tate heirs,
a certain tract or parcel of land in Guilford County, State of N. C.,
adjoining the lands of Green Bowman + others
and others, bounded as follows, viz: Beginning at a stone on
Jamestown Street, running South two hundred
feet to a stone, thence East one hundred and
Seventy two feet to a stone, thence North
one hundred and forty one feet to a stone,
thence West one hundred and Seventy two
feet to the beginning, containing in all one
half acre more or less

To Have and to Hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances
thereto
belonging, to the said Banks Tate
his heirs and assigns, to Their only use and behoof forever.
And the said C. W. Blaylock + wife A. S. Blaylock covenant with said
Banks Tate heirs and assigns, that they
seized of said premises in fee, and have right to convey the same in fee simple; that the same are
free
and clear from all incumbrances, and that they will warrant and defend the said title to the same
against the claims of all persons whomsoever.

have hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year above written.

that C W Blaylock and A S Blaylock his wife, appeared before me this day, and
acknowledged the due execution of the annexed deed of conveyance; and the said A S Blaylock
being by me privately examined, separate and apart from her said husband, touching her
voluntary execution of the same, doth
state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily, without fear or compulsion of her said
husband or any other person, and
that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto. [crossed out: Let the same, with this certificate, be
registered.]
