3. Identification of new risks at Kigoma Airport

Members identified the following risks that exit at the airport;

I. Terminal buildings prevents Air traffic controller from having a full view of the runway.
i.e The threshold of runway 15 cant been seen from tower.
Mitigation

II. Presence of too many aerial masts, specifically an aerial mast erected on the
approaching side approximately 1117M from threshold runway 15.

 III. Hills at the approaching side runway 15

IV. Failure to initiate contact from aircrafts arriving or departing to/from unmanned
airstrips e.g mahale, kasulu.
