about the ocean that surrounds us. They also taught me about coral and Hawaii's coral is
bleaching and how that will affect the marine ecosystem and my personal favorite was learning
about the turtles. I learned so much about them like what they eat the disease that plagues
them and how to properly take care of one if they're stuck between a rock. This internship taught
me many 21 century skills. The example that I would like to give was critical talking when I was
faced with having to take a turtle out of the rocks I had to think of where to grab it somewhere
where I wouldn't hurt it but also was strong enough to pull. My personal goals were to learn as
much as I could and to see whether this was a career I could pursue I think I met those goals
because I learned a lot and If I got the opportunity I would pursue this as a career. The most
valuable thing I took from this internship was the experience it gave me being able to hold a
turtle watching baby sharks swim around in a tank and seeing how coral grows that really all I
took from this opportunity. My greatest challenge I would have to say was having to wake up
early during summer I now it doesn't sound like a big deal but its something I wasn’t use to
doing during the breaks and having to drive there wasn’t something I was used to because I had
never driven that way before the internship. These experience has changed me by making me
more aware of what I do with my plastic and it made me appreciate the ocean and the animals
that live in it more. This internship also taught me how to be a hard worker something that I will
be able to use after I graduate from high school. If I could change anything from this internship it
would be to ask more questions although I learned a lot I feel like I could’ve learned more if I
had asked more questions. Overall I learned a lot from this internship and it also taught life skill
that ill be able to use later on life It also made me appreciate the ocean more I am thankful for
