Instructions for assignment equivalent to sessional examination

Dear Students,

Hope you are safe and doing well.

As you know, in this current pandemic threat and ongoing lockdown, the institute
could not arrange Sessional Examination as per the academic calendar. The
institute has planned to conduct Sessional Examination through equivalent
assignment. In that regard, please carefully go through the following instructions to
solve and submit assignment for the course of 3CL1201 - Finite Element Method
for Structural Engineering as a part of sessional examination and follow the same.

Instructions for questions:

 Assignment consist of four questions. It is mandatory to solve all the four
questions.
 Do not assume any data by your own, as everything is already mentioned in
questions and data sheet. Though, if you feel any data is missing, please
contact faculty members immediately.
 It is mandatory to solve the questions assigned to you. In any case, do not
alter it without approval of faculty members. Solution of questions
considering the data other than that assigned to you, will not be
considered for evaluation purpose.
 The last date for submitting assignment with complete solution is
26/05/2020. The assignment is design for 2 hours of work. It is advised to
complete the assignment by sparing dedicated 2 hours and solve it in one go
as and when convenient to you during the specified time period of
submission.

Instructions regarding submission of assignment:

 It is mandatory to submit assignment through Google Classroom. Last date
for submission of assignment is 26/05/2020. Submission of assignment after
26/05/2020 will not be considered for the evaluation purpose.
 It is mandatory to solve the questions of assignment manually expect
operations for large size matrices (size greater than 3 × 3). For large size
matrices, excel sheet or MATLAB may be used to perform certain operations.
Students have to submit scanned copy of the assignment by uploading pdf
file in google classroom.

 Students can use a blank page, tutorial page or notebook page, whatever is
available. Use a black or blue pen. Mention course code, course name on the
first page along with roll number and name of the student. On every page
write the page number in the top right corner and write roll no. in the top
centre.
 Draw neat and clean sketches wherever required, using pencil and scale.
 Name of the pdf file (scanned copy of solution) submitted by you must be
written in following manner: 3CL1201-SE-Roll No. i.e. 3CL1201-SE-
19mclc01.
 If any of the above mentioned guidelines is not clear to you regarding solution
and submission of assignment equivalent to sessional examination, please
