The next two videos in this module help describe the failure and anti-procrastination mindset that 
you need to have in order to succeed on your journey, but before we get to those, let’s first tackle 
the success mindsets that you need to internalize to master the YouTube game. 
 
Take two people with similar business ideas -- and similar experience -- and I’m willing to bet that 
the person that comes out on top is the one with smarter mindsets. Here are some critical success 
mindsets that will help you succeed with this course: 
 
Success mindset #1: When I give value to the world, I get value back. If you can connect with

people and offer a solution to their problems, price becomes trivial. People are happy to provide 
you with value once you’ve given it to them.  
 
Success mindset #2: There is no such thing as an overnight success. The best success secret is 
learning to enjoy the journey of building your business. This is a long-term process and if your 
happiness relies entirely on accomplishing some big long-term goal, you’re just going to get 
demotivated. 
 
Internalize these mindsets. The 4 articles and books below are required reading. You don’t need to 
do them before moving onto the rest of the course, but definitely read them during this journey. 
They’ll help you understand what it takes to achieve success, not only in YouTube but in all aspects

This article talks about a mindset that was crucial to our success. You might’ve heard of it before, 
it’s called a “growth mindset.” Basically, it means you believe you have the ability to learn, create, 
or accomplish anything given enough hard work. It sounds deceptively simple, but think about it 
this way: It’s the difference between someone - like you - that decides they can learn how to 
build an online business and goes for it… and someone who thinks it’s impossible and never tries, 
therefore guaranteeing their failure. It’s absolutely worth the read.

Are you “relentlessly resourceful?” Read the article to find out. This trait is why we were able to 
grow SimplePickup so quickly through growth hacking. When we had a goal, we would 
relentlessly pursue it… no matter what. You need to do the same. Never give up where an 
average person would, because it’s that extra effort that’s going to make all the difference in your 
business.

This is one of our favorite books and we recommend it to all of our friends and anyone involved in 
business. We’ve noticed this trend over and over again: When you try to do things the easy way, 
everything falls apart. And when you do the opposite and face hard decisions head on, things get

done and run smoothly. Definitely check out this book, because it delivers a very powerful lesson 
on this topic. We constantly reference ideas and parts of this book when dealing with situations it 
covers, it’s that good.

This is another great business book that you need to read. We like it because it does a fantastic 
job of explaining a key business mindset: That there’s only one thing you should be focusing on -- 
the thing that is most important to your success at this very moment. You need to find that one
