1. Define the modes of delivery of Philippine education.

There are two modes of delivery of the Philippine Education. First, the Formal
Education generally defines what education is in the Philippines. This mode of delivery gives
more opportunities for students to conduct learning socially. Society’s practicalities are also well
defined with this mode. The second mode of delivery is called the Non-formal Education, in
which the state recognizes its responsibility to provide non-formal education without the context
of a formal system.

Both modes of delivery provides learning for its students, the only difference is that the students
from the societal norm are distinguished from the students that of certain social sectors.

2. Distinguish the following:

a. Distance learning
A learning method that lets the teacher conduct or broadcast the lectures without the need for
students to attend a school or institution. It is a way of learning remotely without being in
regular contact with the teacher or the student/s.

b. Open learning
A method of learning in which we partake in activities, such as digest reading, to broaden the
knowledge. To learn beyond what has been thought.

c. Flexible learning
Students vary in ways of learning. “Flexible Learning” is one method of giving the students
the freedom to learn with their most comfortable environment, how, what, when and where
they learn.
