Maynilad maintains and operates 20 wastewater treatment plants that process


wastewater and sludge collected from customers. This is to prevent the pollution of
waterways and bodies of water.

The company’s Dagat-Dagatan Sewage and Septage Treatment Plant in Caloocan is


the first facility of its kind in the Asia-Pacific Region to attain triple international standard
accreditations on Quality Management (ISO 9001:2008) and Environmental
Management (ISO 14001:2004) in January 2007, and Occupational Safety and Health
Management (OHSAS 18001:2007).

The Septage Treatment Plant is located in Brgy. San Roque, Baliwag in Bulacan
province of Philippines. This city is located in the western part of the Bulacan province
and is 50 kms from Manila.
Sewage Treatment Plant in Balanga, Bataan, Philippines designed to serve 180, 000
households in the province of Bataan.

The environmental program of San Miguel Foundation Inc. covers the protection of land,
water, and air. On a smaller scale, the Foundation conducts tree-planting projects on
areas identified by different San Miguel Corporation (SMC) plants. Tree-planting
projects are usually scheduled to coincide with plant celebrations.

Philippines' largest water concessionaire in terms of customer base.
