1.0 PURPOSE AND SCOPE


To establish a policy and identify the principles of acceptable use of the Internet and other electronic
communications resources / equipment provided in the course of employment to Team Members. This
policy applies to all Team Members of Atlantica Tender Drilling Ltd. Regardless of affiliation, and
irrespective whether those resources are accessed from office or site locations.
2.0 ACRONYMS

3.0 RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES
All Team Members are responsible for:
• Following security policies and procedures in their use of Internet Services
• Refraining from any practices which might jeopardize Atlantica computer systems and data files
• Learning Internet etiquette, including procedures and guidelines to be followed when remotely
accessing, transferring files from other computers
• Reporting any misuse of the network to the site System Administrator
4.0 BOUNDARIES / LIMITS
4.1 Internet / Electronic Use
Use of the Internet and other electronic communication resources / equipment provided during the course
of employment to Team Members is intended for business purposes and limited personal use. Team
Members are entrusted with equipment and are expected to exercise good, sound judgment in use of the
same. With the use of Atlantica electronic equipment, it is recognized that occasional personal use may
be made of such equipment by Team Members. It is the purpose of this policy to define reasonable
parameters for such personal use of such electronic equipment, in terms of duration and frequency, as
well as using reasonable precautions to preserve security of records, and to prevent inappropriate use of
such electronic equipment. Atlantica has implemented Web Filtering to monitor internet use on a continual
basis.
4.2 Computer and Internet Access
It is the intention of Atlantica to allow staff to use its computers for Internet access during non-work hours
including before and after shift, during breaks and lunches. This can be accommodated with certain
restriction to protect the integrity of the business systems and available bandwidth for business use. Team
Members are prohibited from using Atlantica equipment to visit or attempting to visit inappropriate sites or
to conduct banned activities (see section 5.0). It shall block inappropriate sites. As warranted, other sites
may be blocked to protect Atlantica resources.
4.3 Software
Any software authored or otherwise developed by regular, temporary, or temporary contract Team
Members during employed hours, or for Atlantica purposes, is the property of Atlantica and Atlantica shall
hold all rights and, privileges regarding its use and distribution. For further information, see Intellectual
Property, ABM-2-DOC-014.

4.4 E-mail & Remote Access


Team Members shall not develop programs, or send messages that are offensive, harassing, or disruptive
to others; or that violate policies or regulations. Access to the Atlantica e-mail (Outlook web access) from
any remote computer that has internet access may be granted only to Team Members as approved by
their Department Head. Remote access to Atlantica servers or Access to Atlantica e-mail (Outlook Web
Access) will be granted to a Team Member upon IT receiving an e-mail message from the HR Department
authorizing the access. Department Heads are requested to have ABM-2-FOR-022, IT Request /
Purchase filled out and submitted for Administrative processing. Those approved to have this access must
maintain virus protection software on their equipment. Failure to maintain virus protection may result in
the access being revoked.
4.4.1 Email Prohibitions
• The generation or circulation of any form of "chain letter" or other nonprofessional communication.
• Use of the Company-provided electronic mail system to transmit information on behalf of any company
or entity other than Atlantica.
• Use of pseudonyms to disguise the identity of a sender.
• Communications on the Company-provided electronic mail and Internet / Intranet services should be
professional and should not contain any pictures, materials, comments, language, links or anything
else that might be considered inappropriate or offensive.
• Making ethnic, sexual preference, or gender-related slurs or jokes.
• Offering for sale or use any substance for which the possession or use of is prohibited by company
policy.
• Conducting unauthorized business.
• Downloading or transmitting confidential information or trade secrets.
• Dissemination or printing of copyrighted materials, including articles and software, in violation of
copyright laws.
• Sending, receiving, printing, or otherwise disseminating proprietary data, trade secrets, or other
confidential information of Atlantica in violation of company policy or written agreements.
• Sending or soliciting sexually oriented messages or images.
Note: Although not a violation of Company policy, use of the “Reply All” e-mail function should
be minimized to the greatest extent possible. If you do need to “Reply All”, ensure you
delete all non-essential email addresses.
4.4.2 Automatic Signatures within Email
Automatic signatures at the bottom of an email is permitted, however the following stipulations shall apply:
• Senders name, title and contact information is the only information that shall be communicated
• Disclaimer (as shown in ABM-2-DOC-014, Intellectual Property)
• No photos or images shall be allowed
• No quotes, expressions, clichés etc. shall be allowed
4.5 Unauthorized use or Disclosure
Team Members shall protect data from unauthorized use or disclosure. If e-mail is delivered to the wrong
person, he/she should stop reading as soon as he/she realizes the message was not meant for him/her
and notify the sender or system administrator immediately.

4.6 Copyright & License


Team Members shall respect the legal protection provided to programs and data by copyright and license.
No personal software / programs or software / programs from Internet or outside sources may be loaded
onto Atlantica electronic communication resources / equipment without prior permission from the
Department Head.
4.7 Cell Phones
All cellular phones and services will be approved by Management. Cellular phone use is billed on a time-
used basis and is intended for business purposes only. Emergency personal use should be limited to 2-3
minutes. Atlantica reserves the right to audit cellular phone use and billings.
4.8 Security
Team Members are responsible for all activity on their User ID and password. For security purposes,
Team Members are expected to “lock” or log off their systems when away from their computer. Team
Members shall safeguard their accounts and passwords and change their password on a monthly basis.
Passwords shall be:
• No less than 6 characters
• Contain at least one (1) capital (upper case) character
• Contain at least one (1) number
• Contain at least one (1) non-alpha / numeric character (i.e. *, $, @, etc.)
Accounts and passwords are normally assigned to single user and are not to be shared with any other
person without authorization. Team Members are expected to report any observation of attempted security
violation.
4.9 Privacy
All computerized records, including e-mail and Internet usage logs, are subjected to be monitored or
audited at any time without notice.
4.10 Purchase
New Hardware or New Software request must be filled out on ABM-2-FOR-022, IT Request / Purchase.
Requested item will be procured after it has been approved by Immediate Team Leader / Department
Head / Project Leader, and if needed, an Executive.
4.11 Laptops
If deemed necessary by Department Head, a laptop may be issued to a Team Member. If a Team Member
is issued a laptop, an agreement must be filled out using ABM-2-FOR-021, Laptop Issuance Agreement
upon issue of the laptop. This agreement shall also serve in the event that a Team Member temporarily
has to take a spare company laptop on their business trip.

5.0 PROHIBITED
5.1 Inappropriate Site Categories
• Gambling
• On-line gaming
• On-line movies
• Full or partial nudity
• Religious / Political
• Cult / Drug Culture
• Blogs / Chat room when not specifically related to Atlantica business
• Instant messaging (IM)
• Job posting and on-line application sites (Recruiting Dept. excluded)
5.2 Banned Activity
The following activities violate Atlantica Internet & Electronic Use Policy:
• Using, transmitting, receiving, or seeking (via internet services or Company email) inappropriate,
offensive, vulgar, suggestive, obscene, abusive, harassing, belligerent, threatening, defamatory
(harming another person’s reputation by lies), discriminatory, or misleading language or materials.
• Viewing / Downloading of non-business related information
• Revealing personal information of another person unless it is business related.
• Engaging in illegal activities, or encouraging others to do so.
• Jeopardizing the security of access, the Network, or other Internet networks by disclosing or sharing
passwords and/or impersonating others.
• Accessing or attempting to access sites that affect bandwidth for Atlantica business (i.e. gaming sites,
online movies, and other multimedia sites).
• Creation of Web pages or information sites without appropriate written approval.
• Posting statements representing or purporting to represent the Company on the internet.
• Postings to “message boards” about business or individuals within Atlantica or any opinions about the
Company or individuals within the Company.
• Use of proxies or services that by-pass the Corporate controls for Internet content and message
filtering.
• Viewing, transmitting, downloading, or seeking obscene or pornographic materials that violate or
encourage others to violate the law.
• Intruding, or trying to intrude, into the folders, files, work, networks, or computers of others, or
intercepting communications intended for others.
• Downloading or transmitting copyrighted materials without permission from the owner of the copyright
in those materials. Even if the materials on the network or the Internet are not marked with the
copyright symbol, ©, you should assume that they are protected under copyright laws unless there is
explicit permission on the materials to use them.
• Using another’s password or some other user identifier that misleads message recipients into believing
that someone other than you is communicating or otherwise using the other’s access to the Network
or Internet.
• Uploading a virus or other harmful component or corrupted data, or vandalizing any part of the
Network.

• Using any software on the Network other than that licensed or approved by the Company.
• Gambling or engaging in any other activity in violation of local, state, or federal law.
6.0 SOCIAL MEDIA
6.1 Personal Use
Excessive use of social networking for personal use is strongly discouraged during working hours and
using Atlantica resources could be grounds for disciplinary action. Social networking after hours could also
be grounds for disciplinary action, if such networking is discriminatory, offensive or threatening.
Any improper use of social networking guidelines (whether for personal or business use) may result in
disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment based on the severity and frequency of
the violation(s).
Guidelines for Personal Blogging and Social Networking
• Personal blogs or posts, pertaining to company business, on social networking sites should have clear
disclaimers that the views expressed by the author in the blog is the author’s alone and do not
represent the views of Atlantica. Be clear and write in first person. Make your writing clear that you
are speaking for yourself and not on behalf of Atlantica.
• Information published on your blog or social networking site should comply with Atlantica confidentiality
and disclosure of proprietary data policies. This also applies to comments posted on other blogs, wiki’s,
forums, and social networking sites.
• Be respectful to the Company, Clients, Customers, Team Members, Partners, and Competitors.
• Do not reference or cite Atlantica Clients or Customers without their express written consent.
• Respect all copyright, fair use and financial disclosure laws, and reference or cite sources
appropriately. Plagiarism applies online as well.
• Atlantica logos and trademarks may not be used without written consent.
• No statements can be made referencing Atlantica on any blogs.
6.2 Business Use
Atlantica made a strategic decision to utilize social networking for the benefit of our Clients / Customers /
Team Members.
• Remember that in all postings represent Atlantica and must be appropriate and professional at all
times.
• Respect copyright, fair use and financial disclosure laws and reference or cite sources appropriately.
Plagiarism applies online as well.
• Atlantica logos and trademarks may not be used without express written consent.
• Do not provide Atlantica or another's confidential or other proprietary information. All information
published must comply with Atlantica confidentiality and non-disclosure of proprietary information
policies. Ask permission to publish or report on conversations that are meant to be private or internal
to Atlantica.
• Do not cite or reference Customers without their express written approval. When you do make a
reference, where possible link back to the source.
• Show respect to your audience, Atlantica Team Members, Customers, Clients, Partners, and
Competitors.
• Do not use ethnic slurs, personal insults, obscenity, or engage in any conduct that would not be
acceptable in the workplace. You should also show proper consideration for others' privacy and for
topics that may be considered inflammatory—such as politics and religion.

6.3 Improper Use & Supervisor Guidelines


Examples of improper use of social networking (Personal or Business Use) could include but are not limited
to:
• Use of Atlantica owned resources (computers, phones, devices, etc.) to engage in personal social
networking.
• Making embarrassing or rude comments about Atlantica Team Members, Clients, Customers, etc.
• Divulging any proprietary or confidential information.
• Using Atlantica names, trademarks, logos or other images without permission.
• Making false or misleading statements about Atlantica philosophy, products, services, opinions or
relationships to other organizations.
• Making any statements on Atlantica’s behalf without prior authorization from President.
• Making accusations against Customers, Clients, or Competitors.
• Posting offensive content that is anti-social, bigoted, or promotes illegal or subversive activities.
Supervisors should refrain from making inappropriate comments about the people they supervise, as well
as revealing information that may call into question their credibility or competency on the job.
Should a Team Member disclose to a supervisor, on a social networking site, information that can affect
employment decisions or could be considered a workplace issue (i.e., an employee complaining of
inappropriate sexual comments by another employee), the supervisor should report the incident to the
Team Resources Department at once so that appropriate steps may be followed.
Any improper use of social networking guidelines (whether for personal or business use) may result in
disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment based on the severity and frequency of
the violation(s).
