Dear Nestor,
Thanks for your letter. your English is good.
I live in San Martín de los Llanos. I study at UNAD university- CEAD Acacias. I'm
Psychology student, I like English, listening to music and watching research programs
on culture, civilization and human behavior. but I also like to travel. I have a large
family. I want to tell you about a wonderful trip I made whit my family. when I met the
Guajira. I was there a long time ago. I still remember it's a natural beauty, the
friendliness of it's people and the overwhelming topography. The people are quiet and
shy. The temeperature it's always hot, that is why women wear the Guajira blanket, it's
a long and loose dress. Usually very colorful. I really like them. This is a photo of that
walk. I was travelling whit my family and we got to know Riohacha, the salt mines and
we toured the desert until we reached the Cabo de la Vela. The desert sand is orenge.
The women in the middle is me, sitting on the Pylon a Hill, It is a sacred to the
culture Wayuu. They believe that their ancestors come to rest there. It is really
magical. I remember that we visited a Rancheria where the journey lasted four
hours and on the way we hadto throw sweets andd cookies for the children
who were hiding in the desert cacti. That was an all day ride. we have lunch
Friche, it is a goat stew. It's very good. I can tell you that It was an
unforgettable experience. we stayed in a small hostel on the cape beach. I get
up early in the morning; I like to watch the sunrise. I always bathed in the sea...
jajajaj; There was no fresh water. I had to buy it.
Nestor, if someday you want to visit this place, I must tell you, that the desert
is rough and tangled so you must travel with an expert guide and speak
Wayuunaiki. But it's a wonderful place, It's culture, landscapes, gastronomy
and people make it the best place to visit as a family. How is my English?

Your friend.

Elizabeth.
