Dear Andreas,
How are you? I’m more than happy that you asked me to suggest a piano teacher for your little
daughter – It’s always better to learn music that to get in with a bad crowd, isn’t it?and I’m having a
good news for you that I’ve got a appropriatedcompetent tutor in my mind. [suggested] I know this
young girl who is cut out for the job.

To be more specific, her name is Susan and she’s an undergraduate student =in the Faculty of Art,
Deakin University. Although her main major is focusing on ballet, she has been playing piano since
she was 6 years old. [SUGGESTIONS] She’s really a dab hand at playing the piano. I attended one of
her performances in a bar – her music jazzed up the entire room! Furthermore, together with
studying at university, she is a casual tutor for the piano band of the Community House.

From an individual perspective, your daughter is quite young and starts learning fundamental
knowledge about music and practicing basic piano notes . Thus an art student is suitable with her
learning level and the tuition is likely affordable with $15 per hour. [SUGGESTIONS] What’s more,
she has been teaching music to kids for 2 years, so I reckon she’s got all the experience needed.
Later on, we will take into account more professional level such as sending her to I think we’ll
consider sending her to the Academic Academy or Music school to learn with talent pianists later on
for more advanced courses if she is still keen on playing piano.

Task 2
Some people believe that parents should limit their hours of watching TV and playing
computer games for children, and encourage to read books. Do you agree or disagree?
There has been a considerable concern about meaningful pastime activities for children. It is
believed that instead of spending too much time on television and computer games, children should
be encouraged to read a variety of books. From an individual perspective, I entirely agree with this
sound statement and the reasons for my position are as follows.
Irrespective of advantages that TV programs and computers games can offer such as stress release
and mental agility if children involve in them moderately, these [modern leisure] channels do prove
have several potential drawbacks. Being addicted to TV and games can give rise to unhealthy
lifestyle without exercisea sedentary lifestyle. By so doing, youngsters heavily suffer from physical
issues including overweight and obesity. Apart from this, psychological problem is another
worrying concern as a result of excessive watching TV and playing games overtime. Becoming
isolated and avoiding social interactions are apparently observable signs of children who scarify
sacrifices their leisure time for TV and games.
While abusing games and TV are is considered as being detrimental and addictive for children,
reading can bring them greatly benefits. First, books with their excellent language descriptions are
ultimately the best way to absorb acquire reading and writing skills which are the most momentous
life skills. Second, without vivid visual effects and sounds like TV and computer games, books assist
to boost creative imagination of children. Finally, the content of books also convey the identity of
culture and open our insight into the past, the present and the future of human beings.
In conclusion, although there is valid argument in favor of watching TV and playing computer
games I reaffirm my opinion that reading books is a positive and useful method for children to
learn, imagine and develop. However, in order to shape a good reading habit for their kiddos,
parents should take daily reading practice into consideration.
