“Dua before beginning

Salatul Layl”
‫َّحي ِْم‬
ِ ‫من الر‬
ِ ْ‫َّح‬
‫ر‬ ‫ال‬ ِ ‫هّللا‬ ‫بِس ِْم‬
In the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful 

‫آل ُم َح َّم ٍد‬ َ ‫اَللّهُ َّم‬


ِ ‫ص ِّل َعلى ُم َح َّم ٍد َو‬
O Allah bless Muhammad and his family 

‫ك نَبِ ِّي الرَّحْ َم ِة َو‬ َ ‫اَللّهُ َّم اِنِّي اَتَ َو َّجهُ اِلَ ْي‬
َ ِّ‫ك بِنَبِي‬
‫آلِ ِه‬
O Allah I turn to You through Your Prophet the Prophet of mercy and (through)
his family  and I place them in front of my needs 

‫َو اُقَ ِّد ُمهُ ْم بَي َْن يَ َديْ َح َو ائِ ِجي‬


so make me through them,

ِ ‫فَاجْ َع ْلنِي بِ ِه ْم َو ِج ْيهًا فِي ال ُّد ْنيَا َو‬


‫اآلخ َر ِة‬
respected, in the world and in the hereafter and from the near ones  

‫َو ِم َن ْال ُمقَ َّربِي َْن‬


O Allah have mercy on me through them

‫اَللّهُ َّم ارْ َح ْمنِي بِ ِه ْم َو الَ تُ َع ِّذ ْبنِي بِ ِه ْم‬


and do not punish me through them 
‫ضلَّنِي بِ ِه ْم‬
ِ ُ‫َو ا ْه ِدنِي بِ ِه ْم َو الَ ت‬
and guide me through them

‫َو ارْ ُز ْقنِي بِ ِه ْم َو الَ تَحْ ِر ْمنِي بِ ِه ْم‬


and do not lead me astray through them 

‫ض لِي َح َوائِ َج ال ُّد ْنيَا َو اآلَ ِخ َر ِة‬ ْ


ِ ‫ َو ا‬ 
‫ق‬
and grant me sustenance through them

‫ك َعلى ُك ِّل َش ْي ٍء قَ ِد ْي ٌر‬


َ َّ‫اِن‬
and do not deny me through them 

‫َو بِ ُك ِّل َش ْي ٍء َعلِ ْي ٌم‬


and fulfill my needs of the world & the hereafter 
Continuing with the Qunoot, while still raising the left hand, recite the following
Istighfar seventy [70] times:

‫اَ ْستَ ْغفِ ُر هّللا َ َربِّي َو اَتُ ْوبُ اِلَ ْي ِه‬


Astaghfirullah Rabbi wa Atuubu Ilayh
I seek forgiveness of Allah my Lord and I turn to Him

Still continuing further while raising the left hand, recite the following Dua seven
[7] times:

‫ار‬
ِ َّ ‫ن‬ ‫ال‬ ‫ن‬
َ ‫م‬
ِ ‫ك‬
َ ِ ‫ب‬ ‫ذ‬
ِ ِ ‫ئ‬ ‫آ‬ ‫ع‬
َ ْ
‫ال‬ ‫ه َذا َمقَا ُم‬
Haadhaa Maqaamul 'Aaidhi Bika Minannaar
This is the position of one who seeks refuge in You from the fire [of Hell]

Continuing yet further while still raising the left hand, recite three hundred [300]
times: -

‫اَ ْل َع ْف َو‬
Al-'Afwa
(I ask for) forgiveness

Finally, the following should be said once:

Rabbigfirli warhamni wa tubalaiyyi,Innaka tawwaburrahim"


Lord, please forgive me and have mercy upon me and turn back towards me.
Verily You are the Oft-Turning back, Most Merciful

Complete the Rukuh and Sujood and end the prayer with Salaam
