This essay aims to examine authority over scientific research from a political and technological perspective, looking at two

relevant
actors, and namely country governments and private corporations.

Two perspectives dominate accounts of the growth in the number of home hydroponic gardens: the technological and the financial
ones. The first argues that easy access to technological means that are required to set up basic hydroponic installations is one of the
main factors that led to their popularity.

Now the latter perspective advocates that growing one’s own basic herbs and salads in a basement is at least three times cheaper
than buying them in store. Thus, it is obvious how the overall popularity of home hydroponics is explicitly caused by technological
feasibility and money convenience.

The market perspective argues that emerging new industries in the field of sustainable energy are shaped by a number of economic
forces.

Research that is supportive of this perspective examines how enterprises in the field of renewable energy are driven mainly by
increasing customer demand, cost competitiveness, and cooperation.

As oil prices will inevitably rise due to gradual depletion of reserves, from an economic perspective, alternative energy sources will
gain importance and spread globally.
