A Young man is haunted by his family history of mental illness and his brother’s recent
suicide, and must fight to maintain his own sanity.

Bios:

Playwright: Meny Beriro writes about people who struggle on the margins of society to find
acceptance.  His productions include: Grosso is in Jail (Samuel French Short Play Festival),
Climbing the Unisphere (Queens Theatre in the Park), Worn (This Woman’s Work Theare Co.),
Aisle 2B (Lincoln Square Theatre), Final Bingo (Heartland Theatre Festival), Digital Divide
(Theatre InspiraTO), Robot Beetle (GI 60 Brooklyn College), Love Poems (Abingdon Theatre
Company), and 167 Tongues (Immigrant Voices Project). His play, Excellent Souls was a Yale
Drama Series Runner-up. He is the recipient of the Jean Dalrymple and Gilbert Ancowitz
Playwriting awards (American Theatre of Actors) for PigeonHole and Settle Down. 

Director: Melissa Mowry is a Brooklyn-based director. A graduate of The Actors Studio


Drama School, Melissa has a worked with companies throughout New York City, as well as her
home state of Virginia. Recent collaborations include: Lonestar (Hudson Guild Theatre), I Have
a Dream (Virginia Repertory Theatre), Trouble in Mind (Regent University), Lost Sock
Laundromat, Astoria, Queens (The Wild Project), How to Bruise Gracefully (Cadence Theatre
Company), If Women Rose Rooted (The Tank).

Sean: Bryant Jager is a New York born and raised actor, singer and movement artist.  He
received his core acting training at the Maggie Flanigan Studio in NYC where he also trained in
Lloyd Williamson Movement Technique.  His most recent theater credits include the Wassaic
Project's production of A Call to Cosmic as Ken, the Off Broadway production of A Therapy
Session with Myself as Me and the Off Broadway production of Strange Animals and Plastic
Figures as Bryant.  He has also appeared in various short and feature length independent film
projects including a recent spot in Investigation Discovery's Diabolical and the short film
adaption of A Call to Cosmic, reprising his role as Ken.  bryantjager.com @bryantjager 

Keith: Schuyler Van Amson is a New York born and based actor and graduate of Columbia
University where he majored in Theatre with a concentration in Acting. He has been featured in
Pocket Universe's workshop and Off-Broadway production of Juliet + Romeo as well as other
productions such as Steeplechase at the NY Theatre Festival Summerfest, Tumbleweed at
Dixon Place, Blood Orange at the Fresh Fruit Festival and the Downtown Urban Arts
Festival, Nature Whatever at New Georges and VANTABLACK at NYU’s Playwrights Horizon.

Jacqueline: Suzanne Darrell is a later in life MFA actor graduate from Pace University and a
classically trained Contralto. She is honored to be working on Twenty Broken Legs by Meny
Beriro. Her stage credits include Mirrors (Bird) Next Door @NYTW by Azure D. Osborne-Lee.
Katori Hall's Children of Killers (Mama), Finding Home, (Nattie) at the Billie Holiday, and the
Obie Award winning Harlem 9's 48 Hours in Harlem C3’s - Where the Sun Don't Shine, inspired
by A Raisin in the Sun (Mother). A native of Bermuda, she dedicates her performance to the
mental health of all who are sheltering in...

Alan: Anthony E. LoGrande has recently appeared in It's Pinocchio! (Pinocchio) at Shetler


Studios and in A Chorus Line (Don) at the Algonquin.  He is a rising senior at Wagner College's
theatre performance program, where he was most recently in She Loves Me (Headwaiter),
"nirvana." from Dog Sees God (CB), and has directed The Last Five Years and Harvey.  Anthony
is planning on furthering his education in hopes to create a nonprofit that uses theatre as

Richard: Jeff Jackter is a graduate of the highly esteemed Maggie Flanigans Studio in NYC
where he trained in the Meisner technique. He can be seen in a variety of independent films
produced throughout NYC. He is extremely grateful for the continued support his wife, two kids
and family has given him in the pursuit of his dreams.

Diana: Sam Diaz has her degree in Theater and Performance from SUNY Purchase. Post
graduation she performed and directed several plays with a small group of Purchase alum.
After years of focusing on creating programs for public school students, she is proud to be
making her return to the stage with such a talented group of people.
