TOPIC NOTES
Overcome Your Fear  Life started with difficulties because if life started with ease then we will
suffer more
 Problems are knowledge; We learn from problems in life
 The first thing that Allah will test us in life is "fear"
 Allah has shared with us on ways to overcome fear because He is the
One who created us and created this feeling
 The only way to overcome fear is to fear Allah only
 We can't never please everybody; But pleasing Allah is enough
 Fearing Allah can help you manage your life better
 Never be judgemental; have mercy and be kind to others
 We can only share knowledge when we have the correct understanding
of the knowledge

Knowledge About Allah  Knowledge is a very important element in life

(Part 1)  The first important knowledge is the knowledge in Allah
 We need to believe that Allah is the creator and the provider
 A believer is not a person who only sits alone; A good believer is a
person who mix around and is brave in overcoming his problem
 With any problem we encounter in life, never run away.
 Everytime we have problem, connect with Allah because the problem
can only be solved with the mercy of Allah
 We constantly need help and guidance from Allah; And this is what keep
saying when reciting Surah Al-Fatihah.
 We learn about Allah but we don't feel it; We must believe that Allah is
all seeing and all hearing.

Knowledge About Allah  The best generation of Muslim is the generation that lived during the
(Part 2) time of Muhammad ‫ ﷺ‬and the generation after that and another
generation after that.
 They are the best of Muslims because they are the generation of
"Sami'na wa ato'na" (we hear and we obey)
 Allah says: "if any one of you claim that you love Allah, then follow the
Messenger of Allah ‫ ;"ﷺ‬But we fail to follow him
 So it's time to change; We can change by trying our best to follow the
Sunnah
 We have been collecting knowledge but we are not collecting pure
knowledge; we are just collecting information
 Pure knowledge will make you have a pure heart
"Don't say anything about Islam without knowledge" [Imam Bukhari]

 Whatever problem we encounter is in the knowledge of Allah, so by

going back to Allah will help you solve the problems
 Pure knowledge is what Allah has said in His book, the holy Quran; He
has revealed it and it is protected by Allah

Knowledge About the  The second kind of pure knowledge is the sunnah of the Prophet ‫ﷺ‬
Sunnah
 It's very important for us to identify the sunnah
 The Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬said "Be Obedient to Allah". Then the Companions
asked - "How to achieve Taqwa?". The Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬replied "Listen and
Obey".
 We know what Allah wants us to do but we don't do it
 Allah knows everything but if we think we know better, then we will fail
in managing everything
 Islam is a very beautiful religion but we Muslims must have the right
understanding first
 We have the right to be angry at things that Allah dislikes
 Allah says that this Deen is the Deen that Allah has chosen for you

Factors of Downfall  2 factors that will cause the downfall of a great nation: 1) Zul and 2) Jahil
 Zul is divided into 3 categories : 1) Syirik 2) Zul towards yourself 3) Zul
towards others
 Jahil is being ignorant about your own religion (examples: Reciting but
fail to know the meaning behind Al-Fatihah and the misconceptions of
Hudud)
 Hudud is the plural of the word "Had" which means limit; So Hudud
means that everything has a limit
 Islamic Hudud is the Devine Law

 I'badah has 3 pillars : 1) Love, 2) Hope and 3) Fear

world forever
 Look for death, and life will be given to you" [Ali bin Abi Talib]
[We are truly sorry for the poor quality of the audio in the middle of the
recording due to technical disruptions during recording]

Understanding Qadr  Qadr is the devine decree of Allah

 Allah created the pen (al-Qalam) and told the pen to write what has
happened in the past, in the future and right now
 Qadr has 4 pillars: 1) Knowledge of Allah is so great, 2) The Writing, 3)
The Will of Allah, 4) The Creations
 Examples of the knowledge of Allah: 1) Knowledge of the last hour, 2)
knowledge of the rain, 3) knowledge in the womb, 4) Knowledge about
the future
 The knowledge of Allah covers the knowledge of seens and the unseens

"And in His Providence are the keys of the Unseen; none knows them except He.
And He knows whatever is in the land and the sea. And in no way does a leaf fall
down, except that He knows it, and not a grain in the darkness (es) of the earth,
not a thing wet or dry, except that it is in an evident Book" (Al-A'am: 59)

Types of Qadr  Qadr of Allah is divided into two

 Qadar Qowni refer to the things that Allah has decreed and will happen
according to what Allah has decreed
 The correct understanding of qadr will not make a person lose hope in
Allah because He understands the it is what Allah has decreed
 Loosing hope in Allah is not in the path of a believer; Nothing is
impossible for Allah
 Example: 1) Prophet Yaqub a'laihisalam never lose hope in Allah when
he lost his precious son, Prophet Yusof a'laihisalam, 2) Prophet Yunus
never lose hope in Allah despite of being swallowed into the belly of a
whale, 3) The hope of Juraij in Allah to take him out of the fitna
 How can we accept the advise from the people but we don't accept the
advise from Allah?
 The solution is always with Allah; the only way out of a problem is to go
back to Allah because Allah knows and you don't know
