The Class of 2020 is special to me for many beyond my original retirement date. They
reasons. I started the final years of my career have been an inspiration from the very begin-
with them when they entered as freshman ning and I am honored to have been their last

Last day of schools; they remained closed for the rest of the school year.

Only essential businesses could be open, so most clothing stores, gift shops,
nail salons, beauty shops closed. Restaurants open for only take out. Most
government offices, court houses, etc closed or working from home.

March 30,2020
The stay at home order began, citizens could only leave home for essential
things like groceries, to pick up meals or for work if they had an essential job.
No gatherings of 10 people or more allowed.  All outdoor events were cancelled
or prohibited

April 18, 2020


Face masks were required inside any business in the State of Maryland that was
still open, customers had to stay at least six feet away from others.  

May 15, 2020


Gov. Larry Hogan initiates first phase of his statewide recovery plan and lifts
his stay at home order. Retail establishments and churches could reopen with
social distancing in place and masking as long as they only operated at 50
percent of customer capacity. Restaurants and bars had to remain closed to
sit-down customers.
