Thanksgiving Prayer

Oh my God, whom I do not tire to adore and glorify. You are the highest yet you are still
the most humble among all us. You showed us the most wonderful things in the world even
though I feel that I deserve those, I will always treasure. The unconditional love that You
continuously conveyed no matter what happens and the understanding that brought me for who I
am today, I am glad.

The journey that I’ve been through these past two years has been one of the books. A lot
of things happened – there have been both good and bad times. Despite of that, I know to myself
that I learned through those times and I, became a better version of myself.
Merciful Father, I am not a perfect being, I am not a perfect daughter to both You and my
parents, with that, I would like to apologize for all the wrong doings that I’ve done in the past. I
am sorry for being selfish – for always thinking about the well-being of myself and failing to
remember that I have other people in my back. I am sorry for not being strong enough, for not
thinking that I can do all the things I’m tasked to, for not having confidence in myself, and for
not trusting myself. There are times where I think that I don’t deserve the things that I have right
now, the things that I achieved because I am not worthy enough. I am sorry for disappointing
you. I am deeply sorry. With all the hardships that I’ve encountered, oh God, I can now say that I
am better.

I remember being confused in what path should I walk through in Senior High and right
now, I am very thankful to You for giving me the strength to continue the strand that I am in
right now. Being in this strand helped me to be the stronger and be better version of myself.
My God, thank You for the everyday knowledge and wisdom that you patiently gave me.
I may treat those at times as irrelevant things, I am still thankful. The courage you had shared to
me had given me a lot of driving force to continue everything that I have in life.

Thank You for my teachers who became a great factor in my over-all growth. Through
them, I was able to know things that I do not know, I was able to be better, and I was able to do
 things I can’t imagine myself doing. I would like to thank You too for giving me friends who
didn’t leave my side – without them, I can’t imagine my senior year being this bearable. Through
them, I became motivated to be gradually be better in the field that I wanted to be in. Also, at
times of affliction, they became my light to the darkness that I have been feeling. They became
honest and frank to me that I did something wrong and I am very thankful for that because
without them, I won’t be able to change and check myself. Thank You for the failures that I’ve
encountered because of those, I became stronger, I became the Juliene that I am today. With the
obstacles that I had in my way, I am proud to say that surpassed those and became the Juliene
that am today. Thank You for the recognition and success that you gave me. I was able to be
good on the field that You wanted me to be in and with that, I achieved success and I thank you
for not leaving my side and continued to guide and understand me in my ways. Thank you, my
God, for giving me an amazing and understanding family. Despite of always thinking and
prioritizing my work at school, they are still there to understand me and support me for all the
things that I’m passionate about. I am very lucky to have them and I thank You for letting them
be my parents and brother. I can’t imagine my whole life without them by my side.

For everything, thank you very much God. I know to myself that I won’t make it through
without the people who chose to be with me despite of my shortcoming especially to You, my
God. I will be forever thankful for the life that You gave me and I will forever treasure this.

After years of studying, it’s time to level up and improve myself and be one step closer to
my dreams. I hope You will still shower me blessings and continue to guide me in different
ways. Whatever You wanted me to be in, I will gladly accept it because I believe that it is what
you wanted me to have. I will forever treasure You and all the things that you gave me, Oh God.

I vow to continue being me and gradually be better. I will always love You, my God.
