SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS

A. Summary

Internship training is part of a college curriculum that aims to train and orient students about the

work and their future career. It is a type of skill development where a worker learns how to do

the work through hands on experience. Internship training is one method by which students are

exposed with different work situation designed to give students an opportunity to experience and

a chance to apply the theories and computation that they have learned from the school. This will

help to explore the relationship between the knowledge and skills acquired in college with those

required in the working situations. This helps them build up their competence.

B. Conclusion

On-the-job training is indeed necessary to students because the program expands the

student’s knowledge as it helps explore their strengths and weaknesses in the actual work are.

The trainee can practice applying the lessons learned from the years of formal education and

discovers that there are still a lot more to learn from actual working field. OJT assists with career

development by providing real work experiences that provide students with opportunities to

develop professional skills and competence.

Upon completing the number of hours needed for the On-the-job Training, the trainee has

been provided with intensive learning experience, ethical working values, better communication

skills, improved professional self-development, and self-competence not only did the trainees

gain practical skills but they also had the opportunity to meet different people and learned how to

deal with them in an ethical way.

C. Recommendation

On the-Job Training enhancement activities are part of the educational development. It enables

the student-trainee to put into practice what he had learned to improve working skills and

develop strategies and technique in systematizing work/task. To improve one’s capability, the

students also need to tackle their responsibilities in school.

C.1. Future Trainees

The On-the-Job training enhancement activities are very much challenging

but memorable. Future trainees must then be inspired to pursue their training with enthusiasm.

They must have to see to it that they choose the proper and fitting company for their field of

specialization.

C.2. Curriculum

The curriculum must be enhanced in such a way that the need of the moment must be addressed

to. It should be updated and in consonance with the existing needs of the companies.

C.3. OJT Enhancement Activities

There must be more different and comprehensive conduct of enhancement

seminars for the trainees to be prepared for their future careers. Activities must also be geared

towards maximum participation of the trainees.
