Hate Precedes Unfairness

Religion is something that people mostly embraced when they were young until they grow up to
fulfil their lives spiritually and economically. They serve as The Guidance to the people that helps us
from generation to generation. Practically, almost all the teachings of every single religion were thought
to be fair to all people and to be good to them. Unfortunately, living in a world today where people are
bringing discrimination to each other from day by day because of the different religious activities that
they perform.

The Merriam-Webster Dictionary (2020) defines discriminations as “the act, practice, or an

instance of discriminating categorically rather than individually”. Discrimination is one of the leading
problems in the world. In fact, discrimination was ranked the Third Most Serious Problem with thirty-
eight percent of the participants chose discrimination as their top concern in today’s society.

religious Discrimination is one of the types of discrimination that other encountered. There is a
statistic shown about the religious discrimination in the U.S. According to Masci (2019), eighty-two
percent of the American adults say that Muslims were discriminated against each group of our society,
Making the Jews the second most discriminated group with sixty-four percent

There some cases/incidents relating to Religious discrimination. One incident was the Muslim
players in the NBA. According to Spears (2017), The Undefeated (Website) Interacted with three current
NBA players and four former NBA player. Among the Interviewees that interacted with The Undefeated,
only one of the interviewees that responded a yes. Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, a former NBA player
responded to the Question “Have you dealt with any hate or discrimination from teammates, coaches,
players or executives?” and Abdul-Rauf said “Yeah, definitely. But not all of it is overt, especially when
you get to that level of the NBA. I think some of it is subtle because there are lawsuits that you can enter
into if it becomes just overt and blatant in your face.”.

Another Case was a Muslim woman disqualified from a race for wearing a hijab. For Muslim
Women, it is obligatory were hijab in their daily lives. In this case, Stack (2019) stated that Noor
Alexandria Abukaram, A 16-year-old Muslim woman, was not permitted to run with her hijab.

Discrimination amongst the people should be eliminated because it is the reason why people
generalize each other for what they do, creating ‘Hate” in world. Even If how heavy it is in this world to
be discriminated, good people will still surround you no matter what struggle you suffer. If we all stand
from the different problems in world, this problems may be extinguished.
