Make a Kazoo!

Make your own kazoo and play a song !

 Today’s Lesson
Hi Troy Students!
You have three activities for today's lesson:
1.  Watch a video about making a kazoo
2.  Make a kazoo!
3.  Play your kazoo along with a song of your
choice.
Materials needed:

a.  Toilet paper roll or piece of

cardstock paper
b.  Scissors, might need to ask
your parents for help.
c.  Wax paper, parchment
paper, plastic grocery bag,
or freezer bag
d.  Rubber Band
Follow the step by step
directions in the following slides
1.  Use a large jar to help you draw a circle on the wax paper
or material you’re using for the membrane.

2. Cut it out   You can take the time to

paint your toilet paper
roll if you like!
3. Place the paper on top of one end of the toilet paper roll:
4. Wrap it around and hold with one
hand.
5. Use your other hand to
wrap the rubber band
around.
6. Use your scissors to poke a hole in your kazoo, you might
need to ask for help.
Now your Kazoo is
complete!

Tip: If you’re going to paint it, make sure to take the rubber
band and membrane off first, then let it dry before putting it
back on.
